  • Patent number: 11104567
Abstract: A liquid dispensing system comprises a container enclosing a chamber. A flexible bag in the chamber contains a first liquid. First and second conduits are contained in the chamber. The first conduit connects the chamber to an outlet port in the container where the second conduit connects the bag to the first conduit. A supply source introduces a pressurized second liquid into the chamber. The first conduit serves to direct an existing flow of the second liquid from the chamber to the outlet port, with the pressurized second liquid serving to collapse the bag and expel the first liquid contained therein via the second conduit to the first conduit for mixture with the exiting flow of the second liquid. The second conduit lacks flow restrictions, such as metering orifices or the like.

  • Patent number: 9731955
Abstract: A liquid mixing and dispensing system comprises a housing enclosing a chamber containing multiple containers, a flexible bag is in each of the containers. The flexible bags contain first liquids. Connecting conduits lead from the bags to a discharge conduit. A supply conduit is configured and arranged to supply a pressurized second liquid to the containers and to the discharge conduit. The pressurized second liquid serves to collapse the bags and eject the first liquids from the bags and via the connecting conduits into the discharge conduit for mixture with the first liquid.

  • Patent number: 9499390
Abstract: A system for the on demand delivery of a liquid mixture to an on/off dispenser comprises a mixing chamber having first and second inlets and an outlet connected to the dispenser. A first constant flow valve has a first outlet connected to the first inlet via a first supply line. The first constant flow valve is adapted to deliver a first liquid to the mixing chamber at a first substantially constant pressure. A second constant flow valve has a second outlet connected to the second inlet via a second supply line. The size of the second inlet is at least as large as the size of the second outlet. The second constant flow valve is adapted to deliver a second liquid to the mixing chamber at a second pressure greater than the first pressure, with the second pressure being determined primarily by the flow resistance of the second supply line. At least one of the first and second liquids, or a third liquid delivered to the mixing chamber via a third supply line, may be atomized.

  • Publication number: 20160320779
Abstract: According to the invention, a constant flow valve along with a three way control valve are arranged so as to provide an enhanced shut-off function. During closure of the flow valve, the pressure of the supply fluid is employed in a manner bolstering the valve's spring closure force, thereby resisting any tendency of the valve to open in response to fluid supply pressure surges above the valve's threshold opening level.

  • Patent number: 9283584
Abstract: A liquid delivery system comprises a tank containing a supply of liquid. A positive displacement pump operates to withdraw the liquid from the tank via a suction conduit and to deliver a pressurized flow of the liquid via a delivery conduit. A metering orifice in the delivery conduit serves to modulate the flow of the liquid through the delivery conduit. A normally closed first valve located in the delivery conduit between the pump and the metering orifice is opened in response to a pressure of the liquid exceeding a threshold level, and is operative when open to deliver the liquid to the metering orifice at a substantially constant pressure. A bypass conduit communicates with the tank and with the delivery conduit at a location between the pump and the first valve. A flow restrictor in the bypass conduit serves to modulate a return flow of the liquid from the delivery conduit to the tank, thereby modulating the pressure of the liquid being delivered to the first valve.

  • Patent number: 8240522
Abstract: A dispensing head incorporates multiple constant flow valves for controlling the flow of multiple liquids, e.g., syrup and carbonated water fed to a dispensing nozzle. The valves are normally closed and are opened by inlet pressures above selected threshold levels. Once open, the valves maintain the liquid flows at substantially constant flow rates and pressures, irrespective of variations of liquid input pressures and viscosities. A closure mechanism serves to close the valves at inlet pressures both above and below the threshold levels. The closure mechanism may be deactivated to simultaneously allow the valves to assume their modulating functions at inlet pressures above the threshold levels.

  • Patent number: 7814931
Abstract: A constant flow regulating valve of the type described in U.S. Pat. Nos. 6,026,850 and 6,209,578 includes a closure mechanism configured and arranged to override the modulating mode of the valve and to close the valve at fluid inlet pressures both below and above the valve's threshold level. The closure mechanism may be selectively deactivated to thereby allow the valve to assume its normal pressure responsive regulating functions. Embodiments of the regulating valve incorporate pressure relief devices and vent seals, with configurations suitable for incorporation into the trigger assemblies of portable sprayers.

  • Patent number: 7451895
Abstract: A liquid dispensing system comprises a container containing at least one flexible bag. A first liquid is contained in the bag. A manifold chamber is in communication with the bag via a first metering orifice, and with the interior of the container via a second metering orifice.
