Patents Assigned to Global Scanning Denmark A/S
  • Patent number: 10909755
Abstract: A method of scanning a 3D object includes: receiving a user's input to perform a scanning operation via a user interface, and in response using a light projector, projecting structured light onto the surface of a physical object about target positions on the surface of the physical object; and recording a sequence of first images of at least a portion of the surface of the physical object including a light scatter region illuminated by the structured light being projected about the target positions on the surface of the physical object using a camera. A trained image processing network configured during training to output data comprising a representation of positions being estimates of the target positions on the surface of the physical object in response to receiving one or more first images can be used.

  • Patent number: 10602024
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of processing data from an image scanner for reducing image artefacts. The image scanner comprises a first image sensor arranged to: record a first set of lines, the first set of lines comprising a plurality of pixels representing recorded intensities of a first colour, record a second set of lines, the second set of lines comprising a plurality of pixels representing recorded intensities of a second colour; and record a third set of lines, the third set of lines comprising a plurality of pixels representing recorded intensities of a third colour. The method comprises the steps of: processing at least two of the first, the second or the third set of lines to create a first combined set of lines and filtering said first combined set of lines to filter out image artefacts creating a first filtered combined set of lines.

  • Patent number: 10542174
Abstract: A flatbed scanner document scanner includes a large format document scanner body accommodating a rectangular rigid frame with an upwardly facing plane face and a rectangular transparent plate for supporting a large format document. The rectangular transparent plate overlies the upwardly facing plane face all around the metal frame. The scanner also includes a movable carriage configured to move along and below the rectangular transparent plate and carrying a line camera extending across the rectangular transparent plate. The rectangular transparent plate and the metal frame are bonded together by a hard glue seam that runs on the upwardly facing plane face of the metal frame. A predetermined deflected shape can be formed when the bonded plate and frame are turned upside-down. The rectangular metal frame can deform under its own load to a cambered shape, a flat shape or a less deflected shape when turned upright in a normal position.

  • Patent number: 10447883
Abstract: A flatbed scanner includes a flatbed document scanner body accommodating a transparent plate for supporting a physical document and a document cover, which includes a sheet member with an expanse covering at least a substantial area of the transparent plate. The rectangular document cover has an underside and a movable carriage extending across the rectangular transparent plate in a transverse direction. The movable carriage carries a camera or an optical system for a camera. The sheet member of the rectangular document cover is magnetic or carries one or more magnetic plates, so as to be magnetically attracted towards the movable carriage and exert a pressing force on the physical document when supported on the rectangular transparent plate. A compressing force is thereby applied to an original document resting at an area at which the movable carriage currently is located while scanning a line of the original document.
