Abstract: A panel structure comprises a frame members defining the perimeter of the panel structure. The frame members have a first side facing outwardly of the panel structure and an opposed side facing inwardly. A panel member extends between the frame members and is engagable therewith. The panel member comprises an inner honeycomb core constructed from cellulosic material and having a pair of opposed side faces and a pair of opposed side panel members having a first side facing outwardly of the panel structure and an opposed side facing inwardly. Each of the opposed side faces is affixed to a respective side of the honeycomb core. The side panels are constructed essentially from material which, when not affixed to the honeycomb core, is non-structural and, when affixed to the honeycomb core, has a tensile strength sufficient to prevent compressive movement of the opposed side of the honey comb core.
Abstract: A chair comprises a seat and a back rest. At least one vibrator is positioned in the seat and/or the back rest. The chair further comprises a housing for receiving a replaceable battery for powering the vibrator. A main power control is positioned so as to be accessible to a person when seated in the chair. A separate mobile controller, which includes controls for actuating the vibrator, is provided.

Abstract: A lumbar support includes a pocket within the chair back and a lumbar cushion, of a particular cross-sectional shape is completely disposed within that pocket and sited approximately complementary to a person's lumbar region. The lumbar cushion includes a unitary, open-cell, elastically-resilient cushion of foam, the cushion of foam being fixed within a flexible, air-impermeable envelope. The foam has an air inlet/outlet conduit directly leading thereinto, and an opening extending through the flexible, air-impermeable envelope. A valve structure in the inlet/outlet tube is provided for controlling gas pressure within the cushion of foam for adjusting the firmness of the lumbar support means in the chair in a position accessible to a chair occupant. The valve structure includes a guide tube secured to the opening in the air inlet/outlet conduit.
