Abstract: In order to improve an apparatus for the evaporation of active ingredients such as pyrethrum or similar insecticides, air-improving, bactericidal, disinfecting and/or, for example, curing substances incorporated in cellular boards or other solid carrier materials, consisting of a housing in which there is provided a heating means which is arranged behind a housing window, and of a holding means for the exchangeable arrangement of an active ingredient carrier panel in front of the housing window in such a way that an evaporation apparatus which is independent from electrical energy can be achieved while maintaining high reliability in handling, it is proposed that a catalytic, merely glowing, that is flamelessly acting burner 4 with fuel tank 3 be arranged in the housing 1 having ventilation openings 13 at such a distance from the housing window 2 that the hot waste gases from the burner 4 flow through the housing window 2 and activate the active ingredients.

Abstract: An apparatus for the evaporation of active ingredients incorporated in cellulose or some other, at least approximately dimensionally stable carrier material has heating means arranged in a housing to evaporate the active ingredients. A support is provided for replaceably holding an active ingredient carrier above the heating means. The active ingredient carrier is in the form of a column and is optionally inserted replaceably, with its longitudinal dimension placed vertically, in a sleeve which is adapted in its form and dimensions to the active ingredient carrier and is open at the top and bottom. The sleeve is situated inside the housing and spaced apart from the wall of the housing on all sides, said housing having exhaust gas openings at the top.

Abstract: Means for adding disinfectant or the like to the flushing water of a WC comprise two layers, one of which is deep drawn to form a chamber. The other layer seals the chamber. The layer sealing off the chamber comprises a water-resistant material and is provided on at least one of its two surfaces with print or the like. A lower base portion of the chamber serves to enable the storage of the means in an upright position on a shelf or the like.

Abstract: Evaporator device for insecticides, perfumes and/or other volatile substances, having a housing containing ports, which has at least one receiving section in which a container for the active substances is inserted, and at least one opener associated with the container, while relative movement between the container and the opener can be performed for the opening of the container, and also, if desired, an element absorbing the active substances emerging from the container, an opening being provided in the casing (1,2) in the area of each receiving section (7), through which at least a portion of the wall (8) of the container (4) inserted in the receiving section (7) is exposed to the exterior.

Abstract: Toilet deodorant holder comprising an elongated open basket to receive the deodorant or replacement deodorant having a plastic suspension bracket produced by integral deformation of the plastic with the basket and engaging over and beyond the mouth as the basket. The present arrangement makes it possible to simplify the production and use of the holder and to refill the basket automatically with deodorant as required.

Abstract: A vaporizer for insecticides and other volatile active substances comprising a housing provided with openings and within which housing the active substances are hermetically enclosed. The vaporizer is preferably made of a plastic or other flexible material and may be carried out in various specific embodiments wherein the active substances, which may be toxic, are kept safely out of contact with humans and can be made available for their intended use in controlled and variable amounts. The active substances may be in a spherical or lenticular casing or housing and can be released from outside in a manner to be volatilized for insecticidal or other activity. There is a holder provided for absorption of the volatiles emerging from the casing after the latter is opened by a member actuable externally thereof for cutting the same.

Abstract: A device for dispensing a thermally volatilizable substance in which a housing is formed with a linear open-ended, open top guide channel extending across the upper portion thereof. A window is formed in the floor of the channel and a heater is disposed below the window, providing a support for a member impregnated with the volatilizable substance. A grid spans the open top of the guide channel above the window in juxtaposition therewith to permit release of the substance, e.g. an insecticide, while a skid or runner-shaped element carried by said grid presses the member against the heater.The impregnated member is slidably introduced into the channel through end open end thereof and when the volatilizable substance is exhausted, the member is ejected from the channel by the insertion of a new member into the channel.
