Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices are disclosed for synchronizing map updates for a navigating autonomous vehicle. A management service on a managing node can receive an update to a portion of a first map, where a limited visibility map, which is a subset of the first map, can be determined based on a geographical area around an autonomous vehicle navigating a route. The limited visibility map can be synchronized among all the nodes while the autonomous vehicle is using the limited visibility map by the management service delivering, to a plurality of downstream nodes, the update to the limited visibility map when the update does not modify a portion of the limited visibility map, and by bypassing, to the plurality of downstream nodes, the update to the limited visibility map when the update modifies a portion of the limited visibility map.

Abstract: A system for on-vehicle camera alignment monitoring includes an on-vehicle camera in communication with a controller. The controller monitors vehicle operating parameters and camera signal parameters, and captures an image file from the on-vehicle camera. A first level analysis of the image file, the vehicle operating parameters, and the camera signal parameters is executed to detect dynamic conditions and image feature parameters that affect camera alignment. An error with one of the dynamic conditions or the image feature parameters that affects the camera alignment is detected. A second level analysis of the camera signal parameters is executed to identify a root cause indicating one of the dynamic conditions or the image feature parameters that affects the camera alignment based upon the error. A camera alignment-related fault is detected based upon the root cause, and vehicle operation is controlled based upon the camera alignment-related fault.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for controlling a transmission of a vehicle that has a selectable one-way clutch. The system includes a sensor system, an anti-lock brake system (ABS), and a controller configured to, by a processor: monitor for a deceleration event wherein an estimated output speed acceleration of the vehicle is reduced below a first threshold, receive a status of the ABS, and output one or more control signals to command the transmission to inhibit the application of the selectable one-way clutch in response to detection of the deceleration event when the selectable one-way clutch is not applied, and the estimated output speed acceleration of the vehicle is either: (i) below the first threshold while the anti-lock brake system ABS of the vehicle is active, or (ii) below a second threshold while the ABS is inactive, wherein the first threshold is greater than the second threshold.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method including determining an operational mode of a vehicle based on data accumulated from at least one vehicle information system associated with the vehicle; selecting one of a plurality of power consumption profiles for the vehicle based on the determined operational mode; and applying the selected one of the power consumption profiles to the vehicle.
Abstract: A system includes a surface, a display screen positioned adjacent to the surface, and a selectively retractable screen cover positioned at the surface adjacent the display screen. The selectively retractable screen cover including a door member rotatably mounted relative to the surface between a first stop, wherein the display screen is fully exposed and a second stop, wherein only the display screen is only partially exposed, the door member including a door pivot. An actuating fork includes a first tine element, a second tine element, and a connector portion defining an axis of rotation. The door pivot is slidingly received between the first tine element and the second tine element. A motor includes a shaft connected to the actuating fork. The motor rotates the shaft to shift the door member between the first stop and the second stop.

Abstract: A vehicle is received in a stationary controlled area of a controlled testing environment. Simulation inputs corresponding to a simulated scene are generated and transmitted to the vehicle. The vehicle applies torque in response. A vehicle control mechanism of the controlled testing environment, such as a chassis dynamometer, a motorized treadmill, or a lift, keeps the vehicle within the stationary controlled area during the test despite the torque applied by the vehicle. A path of the vehicle within the simulated scene is determined based on the applied torque, based upon which the vehicle's navigation system is calibrated.
