Abstract: A process for manufacturing brochures, books or like products, having a jacket constructed with turned-in flaps, the folded edges of the flaps preferably protruding beyond the front cut of the block or terminating flush with the latter in which (a) leaves or folded sheets are gathered in a gathering machine (3) to form a block (1), (b) the block (1) is fed to a first cutting station (A) and trimmed on the front side (1a) and (c) then is transferred into an adhesive binding machine (4) in which the leaves or folded sheets are joined by the application of an adhesive, (d) the block (1) is cased into a jacket and (e) the block (1), provided with a jacket, is fed to a second cutting station (B) where the product (2) is trimmed at the top and bottom sides (2a, 2b).
Abstract: A method for filing a retarder with an operating fluid through a valve connected to a fluid reservoir having air pressure Pv and conveying an operating fluid with an actuating pressure Py in the retarder. The method comprises: after starting the retarder during a first time interval T1, an overshoot actuating pressure Py(U) lying above nominal pressure PyNENN for the nominal braking torque to be regulated is adjusted. In a second time interval T2, overshoot actuating pressure Py(U) is reduced to a nominal pressure PyNENN.

Abstract: A diversity antenna for the meter and decimeter wave ranges installed on a conductively framed dielectric surface in the body of a motor vehicle and substantially assembled from rectangular part surfaces, for example in a roof cutout or trunk with a dielectric trunk lid. A substantially wire-shaped antenna conductor is installed parallel with the conductive frame and spaced from a part thereof of the dielectric surface less than one fourth of the width of the dielectric surface. The wire-shaped antenna conductor has an interruption site which define a pair of antenna connection terminals. A two-pole, electronically controllable impedance network is incorporated in series in at least one additional interruption site.

Abstract: A tool is provided having two deep rolling work rollers (2) made of a hard material which, for the deep rolling of grooves in crankshaft journals or crank pins, are arranged at a first mutual distance that corresponds to the specific width of the journals. Each of the work rollers (2) is supported to float in a pocket-shaped recess (14) provided in a cage (4), in accordance with the first distance. The cage (4) consists of a material which, compared to the material of the work rollers (2), has a lower degree of hardness but superior sliding characteristics. The cage (4) is located at the extreme end of the long leg (5) of an L-shaped tool holder (6), and has a second distance (8) to a second cage for support of the same work rollers (2).
Abstract: A process for forming small stacks from an initial stack of sheet material by cutting includes providing a single guillotine cutter machine which comprises a rear table part for receiving the material to be cut and a front table part for receiving the cut material, separating the initial stack into partial stacks by a plurality of cuts in a first direction perpendicular to a direction of feed thereof, and pushing back and rotating 90° at least a portion of the partial stacks from the front table part onto the rear table part for further cutting. The process also includes installing a first movable guide plate above the front table part, placing the partial stacks such that the partial stacks abut the guide plate, and cutting the partial stacks to produce small stacks.

Abstract: The invention provides for the use of non-copolymerizable hydroperoxides of the formula R—O—O—H as regulators in the free-radically initiated polymerization of ethylenically unsaturated monomers, where R is H, a C1-C18-alkyl radical, a C7-C22-aralkyl radical or a saturated or unsaturated carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring having from 3 to 18 carbon atoms, and may be substituted or unsubstituted.
Abstract: A hollow cylindrical target for a cathode sputtering unit with a hollow cylindrical sputtering material and a target holder. The sputtering material has an annular cross section and concentrically surrounds a longitudinal segment of the target holder. The target holder extends out of the sputtering material at least at one end of the target to allow connection to the cathode sputtering unit. The at least one part of the target holder that extends from the sputtering material is a single part that can be detached from the target by at least one screw fitting.
