Abstract: An endoscope has a tubular shaft in whose interior is arranged at least one component of an optical system. At least one support element made from a shrinkable material surrounds at least partially said component in a radial gap between the outer side of said component and the inner side of said tubular shaft. After shrinking of said support element the radial gap is filled up in a manner such that the component is immobilized on the inner side of the tubular shaft via the shrunken support element (FIG. 1).

Abstract: A sintered friction bearing for motors and gears with a bearing surface, which is formed by a bearing bore and can have a lubricant from lubricant depositories in the bearing. The bearing bore has alternating highly compressed, small-pored bearing surfaces distributed over the circumference and slightly compressed, open-pored lubricant depositories from one front face to the other front face of the bearing. Lubrication of the sintered friction bearing is improved because the lubricant depositories are embodied as grooved structures with at least two longitudinal grooves, which are inclined at an acute angle with respect to a center axis of the bearing bore from one front face to another front face of the bearing.
Abstract: The invention relates to an adjusting device for a motor vehicle seat with a first adjusting arm (20), with a second adjusting arm (22) that is arranged opposite the first adjusting arm (20) so as to be rotatable about an axle (24), with a drive shaft (32) allocated to the first adjusting arm (20) that has a free end and carries a pinion (36), and with a toothed quadrant (38) formed in the second adjusting arm (22) and meshing with the pinion (36). A supporting part (44) is formed on the second adjusting arm (22), wherein said supporting part (44) is located in the vicinity of the drive shaft (32), is positioned near the drive shaft (32) radially outside thereof when the pinion (36) is subjected to normal load and gets in contact with the drive shaft (32) and supports it when the pinion (36) is subjected to heavy load, particularly when the pinion (36) is subjected to a load occasioned by an accident.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a book block with a rounded or a rounded and pressed back includes adhering a first plurality of narrow retaining strips along outer leaves and back of the book block. Additional retaining strips may be applied transversely across the back of the book block in the region of the top and bottom of the back of the book block. Thereafter, the book block may be rounded or rounded and pressed. It is believed that application of the retaining strips prior to the rounding and pressing operations reduces the forces of resistance in the rounding and pressing operations.

Abstract: An antenna for a diversity antenna system in a vehicle for mounting within the zone of a window pane surrounded by the electrically conductive body of the vehicle, consisting of a rear window pane having a substantially rectangularly or trapezoidally shaped surface and electrically conductors applied to the surface. A conductive surface in terms of high frequency, and coherent with respect to its edge conductors (12) is formed within the rear window pane. The edge conductors (12) are insulated at high frequencies from the vehicle ground so that each edge conductor (12) of a side of the conductive surface (1) has a minimum length of about &lgr;/10. At least one zone of the edge conductors (12) is provided in the form of a low-resistance coupling conductor (12a) with a continuous minimum length of about &lgr;/10.

Abstract: A method and apparatus used for packaging flat products in a plurality of trays. According to the method, individual trays are picked from a stack of trays by a suitable device. Several products are fed to a conveyor belt so that they lay flat and one behind the other on the conveyor belt. These products are picked individually one after the other from the conveyor belt and placed into the individual trays. The trays that are filled with the products are delivered on a second conveyor belt for packaging or wrapping. The method and apparatus also facilitate the placement of products in the trays in different arrangements.
Abstract: The invention relates to a tube connection between a collector (2) of a motor vehicle heat exchanger and a line (16) using a connecting sleeve (14) in which the free end (32) of the line (16) engages in a positive manner. An annular seal (28) is accommodated in the annular gap (22) between the inner surface (24) of the connecting sleeve (14) and the outer surface (26) of the line (16). An outer flange (38) is provided on the free end (40) of the connecting sleeve (14), and a buckled outer bead (36) is formed on the line (16). When the tube connection is completely assembled, said bead is tightened against the outer face (41) of the outer flange (38) by a clamping device (42). The seal (28) forms an insertion sleeve (44). A sealing element (48) is formed on the insertion sleeve in the peripheral area thereof situated close to the collector, and a sealing flange (46) projects from the peripheral area of the insertion sleeve situated away from the collector.
Abstract: A device for absorbing the electric noise on a cable contains a casing formed from two halves, in each of whose halves can be fixed a ferrite element. The two ferrite elements enclose the cable with the casing closed. A locking device keeps the two casing halves interconnected. The locking device is entirely housed within the casing walls, so that the casing cannot be unintentionally opened.
Abstract: A bumper arrangement for a vehicle has a transverse support to be connected transversely to longitudinal supports of a frame of a vehicle. The transverse support has a shell member of a U-shaped cross-section with a stay and two legs connected to opposite sides of the stay. The legs have a grate structure comprised of several adjacently positioned and spaced apart ribs defining adjacently positioned openings.
Abstract: An anatomically shaped seat shell includes a first lateral profile and a second lateral profile with a longitudinal axis located between the first lateral profile and the second lateral profile, a median support located edgeways to the longitudinal axis of the scat shell and having an upper edge portion and a lower edge portion and seat bands located transverse to the median support and connected to the upper edge portion of the median support, the first lateral profile and the second lateral profile. A method of construction is also disclosed. By automatically adjusting the seat bands to the individual profile of the buttocks or posterior of a user, a high sitting stability and a high evenness of the distribution of sitting pressure are achieved. The distance of the seat bands from one another, in combination with an open-pore cellular material pad cut to the same thickness, provides a very good microclimate.

Abstract: A side impact beam for integration in a vehicle door of a motor vehicle has a beam member having a hat-shaped profiled section extending at least over a preponderant portion of a length of the beam member. The hat-shaped profiled section has a longitudinal stay and leg portions connected to opposed edges of the stay. The hat-shaped profiled section has an end section facing a door column when mounted in the vehicle door. A hook is connected to the end section and angled toward the door column, wherein the hook is configured to engage an opening in an inner sheet metal part of the vehicle door. The hook has a hat-shaped cross-section and is arranged at an end face of the end section, wherein the end section has a height tapering in a direction toward the hook.
Abstract: A plastic connector 1 is provided for connecting an associated support member with an associated plate element. A generally cylindrical elongate neck shaped intermediate zone 5 defines a longitudinal axis and carries on a first end an upper part 2 and on a second end a lower part 3. The upper part is selectively attachable to the associated plate element. The lower part 3 is selectively connectable with the associated support member and includes a cover cone portion 22 defining a generally pointed conical tip S. A plurality of ribs 15, 15′ are arranged longitudinally on the lower part and extend radially outwardly from the lower part by a first height H, the first height being greater than an outer diameter D formed by the intermediate zone 5. A spherical constriction portion 20 is defined between the intermediate zone 5 and the cover cone portion 22 to enable secure connection between the associated support member and plate element and to assist in installation of the connector.
