  • Patent number: 5278425
Abstract: A moisture sensor device for detecting the degree of wetting of a transparent pane by drop-shaped precipitation. The sensor device is provided with a beam guide element, which is affixed to the pane by an optical adhesive. A beam transmitter and a beam receiver are each associated with a lens. Such a sensor device solves the problem of guaranteeing optimum conditions for the generation and output of rays into and out of a beam guide element. Aspherical lenses are associated with and arranged at a short distance from the beam transmitter and the beam receiver. Each lens has a surface facing the beam transmitter or beam receiver which in outline is fashioned according to a polynomial selected to be equal to or greater than the third degree and is developed to form a body of rotation.

  • Patent number: 5273325
Abstract: A motor-vehicle door latch has a bolt projecting from a support and movable by an actuator between an advanced and a retracted position, and a housing movable between an open, a partially closed, and a fully closed position. A latch fork can engage the door bolt to retain same and lock the door. The servoactuator can, when the bolt is engaged with the fork, move the housing between the partially and fully closed positions. A pawl pivots on the housing between a holding position retaining the fork in the latched position and a freeing position permitting the fork to move out of the latched position. A release lever on the housing displaces the pawl from the holding to the freeing position. A opening lever on the housing operatively engageable with the support is coupled to the pawl for moving it from its locked to its unlocked position on movement of the opening lever from a cocked to a rest position.

  • Patent number: 5273172
Abstract: A closure device for drinking from a liquid container (2) is sealingly mounted with a bottom part (3) of a main body thereof extending into an opening of the container. A top part (4) has a circular-arc portion with a groove (6) therein. Liquid-emitting and air-admitting bore holes (10, 11) are positioned in a base of the groove. A pivotally movable cap (14) is mounted on the top part covering the groove. When the cap is pivoted, it causes a flexible hose (12) mounted in the liquid-emitting bore hole to bend and thereby closes it. At the same time, the bent hose closes the air-admitting opening.
