Abstract: A window shade for the triangular window of a rear side door of a motor vehicle is provided which includes a guide rail that extends substantially over the entire bottom edge. In the vicinity of the winding shaft, either a pocket is present or the guide rail from there becomes after a short transitional arc a section that runs at a slant. The sliding body of the slide that runs in the guide rail is rotated appropriately to align the connection arm of the slide parallel to the window post.

Abstract: A system for measuring ionizing radiation with a scintillator incorporates a first assembly of at least two rod-shaped scintillator elements, which can be optically coupled to one another via their opposed face ends. The first assembly of scintillator elements is coaxially enclosed by a second assembly of interconnectable sheath elements. According to the invention, one scintillator element (11), one sheath element (12) and two face-end window elements (131, 132) form a scintillator module (10) in each case, which is optically and mechanically connectable to additional scintillator modules. The individual scintillator elements can thus be produced as encapsulated scintillator modules by means of “suitable” sheath elements and window elements. This provides for a simple and reliable manipulation and assembly of the measuring assembly at the site of its application.

Abstract: A spinning device for producing a yarn by a circulating air flow, comprising a hollow spinning cone arranged in a spinning housing and rotatably mounted about a central longitudinal axis and a nozzle block which can be loaded with compressed air to generate the circulating air flow. The spinning cone (19) is mounted via a bearing arrangement (30) in the rear housing part (15) such that the installation angle position of the spinning cone (19) can be adjusted selectively inside the air spinning device (5).
Abstract: An adjusting arrangement for pre-crash adjustment of at least one vehicle component, in particular of a vehicle seat, is disclosed, having an adjusting device with two entry connections, and a control device for receiving an entry signal and output of a control signal to the adjusting device for adjusting the vehicle component in a crash—secure position. The switching device can be adjusted between a normal operating position and a quick adjustment position. The control device emits, upon recognizing a pre-crash situation, a switching signal for adjusting the switching device into the quick adjustment position, and a second voltage is applied at the entry connections of the adjusting device in the quick adjusting position, which is greater than a first voltage applied in the normal operating position.
Abstract: A method for determining the effects of a fancy yarn by measuring the yarn diameter. The yarn sections between the effect areas are referred to as webs. The effect area is determined in that the beginning of the effect is defined by meeting a first criterion and the end of the effect is defined by meeting a second criterion. A specifiable number of the largest diameters is determined between the beginning and end of the effect, an average is formed from the diameters determined, which is specified as the diameter of the effect, and the effect length is determined from the beginning and end of the effect.
Abstract: The invention concerns a coating agent for cellulose-bearing substrate surfaces comprising a liquid phase and binding agent, wherein the coating agent includes platelet-shaped pigments and a bonding agent, wherein the platelet-shaped pigments are corrosion-resistant and impermeable to UV light and wherein the bonding agent produces a bond between pigment, binding agent and the cellulose-bearing substrate surface. The invention further concerns the use of the coating agent according to the invention as well as coated cellulose-bearing substrate surfaces.

Abstract: An apparatus for slitting a web moving along a path in a transport direction has a support transversely shiftable relative to the web adjacent the path, a drive shaft extending transversely of the direction adjacent the path and substantially nonmovable transversely of the path, and a drive gear on the support rotationally coupled gear to the drive shaft and shiftable along the shaft. A mount shiftable toward and away from the shaft on the support carries at least one driven gear and a driven blade fixed to and rotatable with the driven gear. Another blade is juxtaposed with the driven blade and flanks the path therewith. An actuator can shift the mount between a cutting position with the blades closely juxtaposed and the driven gear meshing with the drive gear and a retracted position with the blades separated and the driven gear out of mesh with the drive gear.
Abstract: The invention relates to a latch which must enable the locked mobile part (10) of a motor vehicle body to be released if necessary by means of a key-actuated closing cylinder (40), in order to manually open the mobile part (10). A handle (21) is provided on the mobile part (10) for the opening of the same (10), said handle being able to pivot in a vertical plane in relation to the vehicle body. When the handle is in its closed position (20.1), it is essentially flush with the vehicle body. In the outwardly pivoted open position, the handle can be gripped by a hand, also enabling the closing cylinder (40) to be accessed by the key. In order to provide the latch with a compact design, the handle (21) is embodied as a carrier for the closing cylinder (40) and forms a pivotable arrangement (20) therewith. A rotary coupling member (45) which can be actuated by the closing cylinder (40) is located on said arrangement (20) and participates in the pivoting movement.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a silica glass tube which is characterized by depositing SiO2 particles on an elongate support that rotates about its longitudinal axis, thereby producing a porous with a cylindrical inner bore. Said blank is vertically aligned, suspended in a furnace using a suspension that engages with a constriction in the upper zone of the inner bore of the blank, and vitrified. The aim of the invention is to provided a method with which also heavy blanks can be secured safely and substantially without any danger of contaminations of the inner bore without using complicated securing devices. To this end, the constriction (6b) is generated by shaping the inner bore (7) when the SiO2 particles are deposited. For vitrification a suspension (8; 9; 10) is used that supports itself on the constriction (6b) and that otherwise projects into the cylindrical inner bore (7) without having any contact therewith.
Abstract: A protective tubular light is proposed, which basically consists of a transparent light tube (10) in which a fluorescent lamp is positioned. The fluorescent lamp is carried by a lamp support. The light tube (10) can be tightly sealed on either end by a cover consisting of an outer cover part (60) and an inner cover part (80). Serving to produce the tight seal is a sealing ring (62), which is pressed against the inner wall of the light tube (10) by the axial movement of the inner cover part (80) in conjunction with a tension cone (83) furnished on the inner cover part (80). The electrical connection of the fluorescent lamp and the network cable is provided by plug and coupling parts (30, 40). To produce or break off the electrical connection the coupling part (40) is driven against or withdrawn from the plug part (30) by the inner cover part (80), which can be moved axially.
