Abstract: A flexible earhook for positioning an earphone adjacent a wearer's ear, the earhook including a mounting element capable of being provided with the earphone. The mounting element may be substantially annular. The earhook further includes a hook element comprising a material capable of being contoured and thereafter maintaining its shape. The hook element may comprise a wire. The hook element and the mounting element may be connected such that the flexible earhook can be used on either ear.

Abstract: A full duplex infrared communication system suitable for use in connection with a telephone system is disclosed. The communication system includes a base station and a remote wireless set. High quality audio is provided through use of an FM sinusoidal current driven signal transmission between the base station and the remote wireless set. Further, transmission is made over bands which do not harmonically overlap. For example, the base station may transmit at 250-430 1 KHz and the remote wireless set may transmit at 1.45-1.63 MHz. Further, adverse effects of cross-talk and signal reflection are reduced by using transmission carrier signals for the base station and the remote wireless set having different wavelengths. For example, the base station may use LEDs which emit signals at a wavelength of 940 nm while the remote wireless set may use LEDs which emit signals at a wavelength of 880 nm. Abstract: A headband for reversible mounting of headsets, wherein the headset can be used on either side of the wearer's head. The headband may include two adjustably connected portions, for adapting to the wearer's head. On one side, the headband has a fitting for a headset. The fitting may include a plurality of tabs surrounding a substantially circular cavity. The headset may be mounted to the headband by fitting at least a part of the headset inside the cavity, wherein the headset is held in place by the tabs. The tabs may be arranged to allow the headset to extend therebetween, and they may allow the headset to be adjusted as desired by the wearer.
