Abstract: A charging device with battery management system which remains a rechargeable battery in full capacity during standby after being fully charged is disclosed. The charging device includes a charging module, electrically connected to a power source, for charging the rechargeable battery; a voltage detecting module, for detecting a voltage of the rechargeable battery; and a determination module, for instructing the charging module to charge the rechargeable battery with a supplementary current when the voltage of the rechargeable battery detected by the voltage detecting module reduces to a first predetermined voltage until the voltage of the rechargeable battery reaches a second predetermined voltage. Reduce of the voltage of the rechargeable battery is due to self-discharge of the rechargeable battery during standby after being fully charged.
Abstract: A detachable modulized battery charging assembly for electric vehicles is disclosed. The detachable modulized battery charging assembly includes a number of charging units for charging rechargeable batteries of electric vehicles while the rechargeable batteries are detachably inserted therein; a managing unit for controlling the charging units, recording charging statuses of the rechargeable batteries, and confirming identification of a user; and a user interface unit for communicating with the user. The charging units, the managing unit and the user interface unit are modulized and can be fixed together in different arrangements.
Abstract: A charging system of an electric vehicle and a method for charging the electric vehicle are described in the present invention. The system uses a smart card for battery management when charging a battery. Furthermore, the system can prevent the battery or the electric vehicle from being stolen. Compared to existing charging systems for electric vehicles, the present invention can save more cost for users and provide safety mechanism for battery or electric vehicle.
Abstract: A battery pack having a cooling system is disclosed. The battery pack includes battery units linked in series or in parallel and arranged in a plane; thermal conducting bars each has a number of side walls and two ends, averagely located among the battery units and substantially contacted to the battery units by the side walls, for conducting heat out of the battery units to the two ends; and a housing for containing the battery units and thermal conducting bars and conducting heat from the ends of the thermal conducting bars to outside of the housing. At least one end of the thermal conducting bar is connected to the housing and becomes an internal supporting structure of the housing.
Abstract: A rechargeable battery assembly for an electric vehicle is disclosed in the present invention. It includes at least one rechargeable battery module which has a number of rechargeable battery cells linked in series or in parallel for providing power to the electric vehicle, and a management unit, installed with a first program, for managing the rechargeable battery cells; and a charging module for providing power to the rechargeable battery module, including an updating unit connected to the charging module for automatically detecting version of the first program and updating the first program while a newer version is available while electrically connected to the rechargeable battery module. Battery management system of the rechargeable battery assembly can be updated by the updating unit. Therefore, the rechargeable battery module can be applied to different requirements with its best performance.
