Abstract: A trash compactor particularly designed for aircrafts and having a front compaction chamber and a rear storage chamber in communication with one another. An L-shaped support is provided in the compaction chamber for supporting a container into which trash is to be compacted. The support has a bottom member formed with a pair of grooves and the bottom wall of the compaction chamber, over which stands the support, is provided with a pair of projecting elements snugly fitting into the grooves. The latter as well as the projecting elements have a right angular wedge shape in a plane perpendicular to the upright rear wall of the support with one side of the right angle facing away from the rear wall.
