Each package may include: a casing; and a containment element configured to wrap the casing. The casing may include: a main body made of expandable material; a capping device associated with the main body; and an insertion opening in the main body. The capping device may include: a tubular sleeve including a first coupling and a bottom wall; a closure element including a second coupling; and first and second one-way valves associated with the bottom wall. The first one-way valve can be configured to allow insertion of gases. The second one-way valve can be configured to allow outflow of gases.

Abstract: A system for capping a mouth of a container may include: a press-on cap for irreversibly capping the mouth of the container, wherein the press-on cap is made of polymeric material able to withstand high-temperature sterilization and wherein the press-on cap may include: a tubular sleeve extending along an axis of extension and configured to be irreversibly locked to the mouth of the container; a rim that radially projects out of the tubular sleeve at an end of the press-on cap; a capping wall oriented transverse to the tubular sleeve and extending from the rim over a front surface delimited by the rim, wherein the front surface faces outwardly; and a plurality of protrusions, which extend out of the front surface. The front surface may have a height variation relative to the rim across the front surface ranging from ?1% to 1% of a characteristic dimension of the capping wall.

Abstract: A compostable multilayer membrane may include: a first barrier layer containing a compostable barrier film; a first metallization layer; an intermediate layer containing at least one adhesive; a second barrier layer containing a compostable barrier film; a layer adjacent to the first barrier layer, on a side opposite to the first metallization layer, the adjacent layer comprising heat-resistant lacquer; a second metallization layer between the intermediate layer and the second barrier layer; and a filter made of nonwoven fabric. The compostable barrier film of the first barrier layer may not be made of cellulosic material. The compostable barrier film of the second barrier layer may not be made of cellulosic material. The compostable multilayer membrane may have an Oxygen Transfer Rate (OTR) value lower than 0.5 cc/m2/day/atm. The filter may be adjacent to the second barrier layer on a side opposite to the intermediate layer.

Abstract: A hermetically sealed flat container for containing loose materials may include: first and second flexible sheet elements, having polygonal shape, which are coupled together by welds formed along a perimeter of their polygonal shape, to define a volume for containing the materials. The perimeter may define a plurality of edges, one edge forming a bearing edge for the container to rest upon a base. The bearing edge may progressively reduce its transverse dimensions toward one end such that, when the bearing edge rests on the base, a weight-force component of the materials applied to the bearing edge causes a reaction that causes the bearing edge to retract into the volume and imparts vertical stability to the container. The container further comprises a strip of stiffening material attached to the first and second flexible sheet elements, the strip spaced from the bearing edge except for end portions of the strip.
