Abstract: A commemoration system for remote commemoration of a deceased person whose remains are interred in a memorial facility, comprising a computer server responding to a request of a computing device; a data storage for storing data for commemoration of the deceased, the data storage being accessible by the computing device under control of the computer server; a data processing unit for converting data from the data storage into a human-perceivable event; a transmitter for transmitting the human-perceivable event to the memorial facility, the human-perceivable event being controllable by the computing device; and an output device at the memorial facility for communicating the human-perceivable event transmitted by the transmitter.
