A microfiber fabric material is carried by part of the body and is water absorbent. A portion of the microfiber fabric material is positioned near the plurality of bristles.

Abstract: Hair accessories include (a) a substrate having a hair-holding surface configured for holding hair, and a structural surface; and (b) a layer provided on at least a portion of the hair-holding surface, wherein the layer contains a plurality of flocked fibers. Methods of manufacturing hair accessories are described.

Abstract: A first method of systematizing hairstyling tools includes defining hairstyling steps, defining indicia for the steps, determining hairstyling tools to perform the steps, and displaying the indicia on the corresponding tools. A second method of systematizing hairstyling tools includes additionally defining hairstyles, selecting the hairstyling steps to implement the hairstyle, and packaging the corresponding hairstyling tools together as a set. Also within the scope of the invention are hairstyling tools, sets of hairstyling tools, and systems of hairstyling tools according to the first and second methods.

Abstract: A headband includes an angled top section that enables the headband to better conform to the contour of the top of the user's head for a better fit in that area. In addition, the headband may be made of a memory-flex deformable material that enables it to conform to the contour of the top and sides of the user's head for a more comfortable fit in those areas. In some embodiments the headband has generally linear legs and in other embodiment the legs are swept back so they are positioned farther behind the user's ears.

The first and second claws are coupled to and extend from the body in a generally axial direction relative to the body. The first and second claws are spaced from and generally opposite one another across the body. The hair clip is movable between an open and a closed position. In the open position, the body protrudes from the body plane in an inward axial direction and the first and second claws are separated from one another. In the closed position, portions of the first and second claws overlap one another.

A plurality of bristles is attached to and extends from the rod, each extending through a corresponding aperture. A button on the implement that is coupled to the rod and movable to a depressed position and an outward position when not depressed. When the button is in the outward position, the plurality of bristles extends through the corresponding apertures to an extended user position. When the button is depressed, the plurality of bristles is retracted into the body to a retracted cleaning position extending through the corresponding apertures to a lesser extent relative to the extended use position.

More specifically, the headband with pliable ends has a curvilinear body integrally formed from an arcuate midsection and two pliable end sections. Each pliable end section extends from opposite ends of the midsection. The arcuate midsection structured and arranged to conform to a generalized top of head shape. The pliable end sections are each structured and arranged to be selectively deformable to conform to a user's side of head shape.

Abstract: A hair brush includes a brush head and a bristle/handle assembly. The head includes a cylindrical barrel with a plurality of apertures in it, and the bristle/handle assembly includes a handle and a bristle tree assembly. The bristle tree assembly includes a central bristle rod, a plurality of bristles radially extending from the rod, and a connecting rod extending between the bristle rod and the handle. The bristle rod is positioned within the barrel, and the bristles extend through the barrel apertures in an extended position. The brush head and the bristle/handle assembly are not attached to each other, and instead they slide longitudinally relative to each other. When the handle and the barrel are slid apart from each other, the bristle rod travels with the handle to retract the bristles to a retracted positioned further within the barrel.

A handle extends from the body and defines a hand grip. A temperature controller is located on a surface of the body and configured to control the temperature of the heating element. The temperature controller can lie essentially flush with or below a level of the surface of the body around the temperature controller. A motor control switch can be provided on the handle to operate a motor for directing air from the intake to the heating element and then to the outlet nozzle.

Abstract: An adjustable auto-clasp barrette includes a base, a hinged and clasped locking arm, and a resilient leaf spring positioned between the base and the locking arm. The locking arm and the leaf spring cooperate to engage the hair to secure the barrette in the user's hair. An adjustment coupling permits the positions of the leaf spring ends to be longitudinally adjusted relative to the base to increase or decrease how much the leaf spring deflects and bows outwardly. With the spring ends positioned farther apart the leaf spring is less bowed for holding thicker hair or a larger volume of finer hair. And with the spring ends positioned closer together the leaf spring is more bowed for holding finer hair or a smaller volume of thick hair.
