  • Patent number: 11688034
Abstract: In a video capture system, a virtual lens is simulated when applying a crop or zoom effect to an input video. An input video frame is received from the input video that has a first field of view and an input lens distortion caused by a lens used to capture the input video frame. A selection of a sub-frame representing a portion of the input video frame is obtained that has a second field of view smaller than the first field of view. The sub-frame is processed to remap the input lens distortion to a desired lens distortion in the sub-frame. The processed sub-frame is the outputted.

  • Patent number: 11688409
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to processing a plurality of audio signals. A device receives the plurality of audio signals in the frequency domain and determining an overall attenuation multiplier based on the plurality of audio signals and an overall lookup table that relates decibel values to different overall attenuation multipliers. The device determines an attenuation vector comprising a plurality of bin-specific attenuation multipliers, each bin-specific attenuation multiplier respectively corresponding to a different frequency bin of the plurality of frequency bins. The device scales each bin-specific attenuation value in the attenuation vector with the overall attenuation multiplier, and edits each of the audio signals based on the scaled bin-specific attenuation values in the attenuation vector.

  • Patent number: 11689847
Abstract: An image capture device, having: a housing, a lens snout, a front microphone, a top microphone, and an audio processor. The housing has a top and front housing surface. The lens snout protrudes from the front housing surface. The front microphone mounted within or on the front housing surface and below the lens snout. The top microphone mounted within or on a top housing surface in a position biased toward the front housing surface. The audio processor comprises a memory that is configured to store instructions that when executed cause the audio processor to generate an output audio signal. The top microphone is located at a position to receive direct freestream air flow when the housing is positioned in a pitched forward orientation at a pitched forward angle relative to a vertical axis. The front microphone receives turbulent air flow from the lens snout when the housing is positioned in the pitched forward orientation.

  • Patent number: 11683440
Abstract: Multiple framings of a video may define different positionings of a viewing window at different moments within the video. The positionings of the viewing window defined by the multiple framings may be used as fixed positionings of the viewing window in a viewing path. The viewing path may define changes in the positioning of the viewing window between the fixed positionings. A presentation of the video may be generated to include the extents of the video within the viewing window.

  • Patent number: 11683461
Abstract: Video information and sensor information may be obtained. The video information may define spherical video content having a progress length. The spherical video content may define visual content viewable from a point a view as a function of progress through the progress length of the spherical video content. The spherical video content may be captured by one or more image capture devices. The sensor information may characterize capture of the spherical video content. A viewing direction for the spherical video content may be determined based on the sensor information and/or other information. The viewing direction may define a direction of view for the spherical video content from the point of view as the function of progress through the progress length of the spherical video content. The spherical video content may be presented on a display based on the viewing direction.

  • Patent number: 11678108
Abstract: An image capture device with dynamic wind noise compression tuning techniques is described. A technique includes detecting of the presence of wind noise by measuring coherence between at least two microphones. For a compressor, adjusting a default compression threshold and default compression parameters based on the coherence measurements. For each microphone, applying by the compressor the adjusted compression parameters when an audio signal is above the adjusted compression threshold and applying the default compression parameters when the audio signal is below the adjusted compression threshold.

  • Patent number: 11678053
Abstract: Visual content is captured by an image capture device during a capture duration. The image capture devices experiences change in position during the capture duration. The trajectory of the image capture device is smoothed based on a look ahead of the trajectory. A punchout of the visual content is determined based on the smoothed trajectory. The punchout of the visual content is used to generate stabilized visual content.

  • Patent number: 11673665
Abstract: A controller system of an aerial vehicle may receive environmental data from one or more sensors of the aerial vehicle and adjusts limits of the aerial vehicle given the environmental conditions. When the aerial vehicle receives an input, such as a flight input from a remote controller or an environmental input such as a gust of wind, the controller system calculates appropriate motor inputs that are provided to the thrust motors of the aerial vehicle such that the adjusted limits of the aerial vehicle are not exceeded. In calculating the appropriate input to the thrust motors, the controller system performs an iterative process. For example, for a given maximum torque that can be applied to the thrust motors, the controller system iteratively allocates the torque such that torque components that are important for the stability of the aerial are first fulfilled, whereas subsequent torque components may be fulfilled or scaled back.

  • Patent number: 11678032
Abstract: A capture setting for one or more image capture devices may be determined. The capture setting may define one or more aspects of operation for the image capture device(s). The aspect(s) of operation for the image capture device(s) may include one or more aspects of operation for a processor of the image capture device(s), an image sensor of the image capture device(s), and/or an optical element of the image capture device(s). A machine-readable optical code may be generated based on the capture setting and/or other information. The machine-readable optical code may convey the capture setting for the image capture device(s) such that a first image capture device capturing a first image including the machine-readable optical code may: (1) identify the machine-readable optical code within the first image; (2) determine the capture setting conveyed by the machine-readable optical code; and (3) operate in accordance with the capture setting.
