  • Patent number: 4325415
Abstract: An electrolytic battery which has become inoperative due to corrosion shorting the plates of the battery is inverted to remove all of the battery acid. The battery is then disposed over an apparatus comprising a plurality of jets which dispense a cleaning solution into the individual battery cells for a predetermined period of time. After the cleaning solution has been forced into the cells, the battery is drained and drying air is automatically forced into the cells to dry them. The battery is then returned to its upright position and the cells are filled with fresh acid.
