  • Patent number: 11664179
Abstract: The present invention refers to a detachable knob that can be easily and quickly detached and attached repeatedly from a switchgear. The detachable knob includes: a knob housing configured to be manually rotated about a rotation axis “X”, and anchoring means placed inside the knob housing. A plunger is arranged inside the housing and is axially displaceable along the rotation axis “X”, wherein the plunger is configured to bring the anchoring means from their engaged position to their disengaged position and vice versa. The plunger is axially displaceable relative to the anchoring means between two stable axial positions at axis “X”, namely: a pushed-down position in which the plunger remains stable and force the anchoring means to their engaged or to their disengaged position, and a release position in which the plunger remains stable and in which the anchoring means are in the other position.

  • Patent number: 11450501
Abstract: The invention refers to a fuse switch module (1) that comprises a casing (2) having an aperture (3) and a cover (4) for closing and opening the aperture (3), and a rotatable fuse cartridge (11) for receiving a fuse (8). The fuse cartridge (11) is rotatable between a switch module closed position in which a fuse (8) is connected with fixed contacts (5,6) to enable current circulation, and a switch module open position in which current circulation through the fixed contacts (5,6) is impeded. The cover (4) and the fuse cartridge (11) are engaged when the cover (4) is closing the aperture (3) and when the fuse cartridge (11) is in the switch closed position, thus, the cover (4) is locked by the fuse cartridge (11) and opening of the cover (4) is impeded while current is circulating through the switch module.

  • Publication number: 20220181855
Abstract: A device has three single-pole modules and a chassis that can be connected to a busbar distribution system. The chassis has three input connections and three output connections, wherein each single-pole module has single-pole means for protecting against short-circuits and overloads and single-pole means for interrupting and establishing current, and wherein the input connections and output connections and the single-pole modules form three independent single-phase circuits.

  • Patent number: 10892131
Abstract: The invention refers to a low-cost fuse switch module that comprises a pair of fixed contacts and a rotary contact rotatable about a rotation axis located in-between the fixed contacts. The rotary contact is rotatable between a closed position in which it is connected with the fixed contacts to enable current circulation, and an open position in which the rotary contact is electrically isolated from the pair of fixed contacts. An overcurrent protection fuse is provided for limiting maximum current circulation through the contacts in the closed position, and the fuse is rotatable about the axis and it is arranged to operate as the rotary contact of the switch, such as by rotating the fuse about the rotation axis, the switch reciprocally transit from the closed to the open position.

  • Patent number: 10347439
Abstract: An electric switch includes a first and a second connection terminal for connecting the switch to an external circuit; a first switch assembly, which includes two or more electric breaker elements connected in series to one another and to the first and the second connection terminal; a second switch assembly, which includes at least one delayed electric breaker element connected in parallel to the first switch assembly. A moving actuator is made of insulating material and is associated with the first and the second switch assembly to open or close them. The moving actuator is movable between a closed switch position in which electrical continuity is established between the first and the second connection terminal, and an open position in which current flow between said terminals is prevented.

  • Patent number: 10269512
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for cutting off electric current. The device comprises at least one fixed contact and at least one moving contact that can move between a closed position and an open position, and at least one permanent magnet mounted together with the moving contact, such that the permanent magnet and the moving contact are able to move at the same time. The magnetic field of the magnet interferes with the area where the arc occurs and moves with the moving contact along its path, so with a small number of magnets, arc quenching capacity increases. The method of the invention comprises moving a permanent magnet through the area where an electrical arc occurs between a moving contact and a fixed contact, such that the generated magnetic field runs through at least part of the area where the arc occurs.

  • Patent number: 10115545
Abstract: The present invention relates to an actuating method and device which allows mechanically converting rotational movement into helicoidal movement, said helicoidal movement including considerable travel in the axial direction. To that end, the device comprises a rotating rod (1) inside a fixed outer body (2). The rod (1) comprises an emerging lug (4) sliding between two parallel surfaces (3) of the outer body (2), said parallel surfaces (3) being inclined with respect to the axial axis (5) of the rod (1).

  • Patent number: 9899159
Abstract: The present invention relates to an electric switch comprising a first switch assembly (1) with several electric breaker elements (2a, 2b, 2c) connected in series between two connection terminals (5, 6), and a second switch assembly (4) with a electric breaker element (3) connected in parallel to the first switch assembly (1). The second switch assembly (4) has less electrical resistance than the first switch assembly (1). The switch is configured so that the second switch assembly (4) closes in a delayed manner with respect to the closing of the first switch (1). Current interruption operations are performed with the first switch assembly (1) to facilitate arc quenching, whereas in permanent working of the switch, current flows through the low electrical resistance second breaker element (4) to reduce losses due to heating. The invention also relates to a method for controlling current flow.
