  • Patent number: 7600304
Abstract: A method for the production of a fixing piece (12, 36) serves for fixing of covering material to cushion pieces for vehicle seats. A profile body (12) is connected to a separately produced sewn tag (36) which at least partly engages in a housing opening (34) in the profile body (12). The profile body (12) and the sewn tag (36), at least in the common jointing positions thereof, are predominantly made of plastic materials. According to the present invention, the known welding and glued connecting applications can be further improved such that the production method can be rapidly carried out with low production costs and without additional materials. A strong connection can be achieved, conforming to more stringent environmental aspects.

  • Patent number: 7563499
Abstract: An adhesive closing part includes a support band (10) provided with hooking elements (12) arranged on the supporting band and a cover band (16) that covers the support band (10) on the side facing away from the hooking elements (12). The cover band is wider than the support band (10) such that free lateral edge zones of the cover band (16) extend beyond the associated longitudinal edges of the support band (10) on both sides. The two free lateral edge zones are folded back in the direction of the rear face of support band (10) to form one respective accommodating space (20), while being interconnected, such that a tubular member (22) is formed at least by parts is formed at least by parts of the cover band (16). This structure results in a reliably functioning sealing option for the hooking elements.

  • Patent number: 7559124
Abstract: A hook and loop connector piece includes a support band (10) with hooking elements (12) arranged on one side and at least one cover strip (20) on an opposite side. The cover strip forms at least one free lateral edge region (21) extending over the corresponding lateral edge (33) of the support band (10). The free lateral edge region (21) of the cover strip (20) may be folded over itself, along a fold line (29) extending in the longitudinal direction. The terminal edge (31) of the free lateral edge region (21) of the cover strip (20) is turned towards the corresponding lateral edge (33) of the support band (10). On the side of the hook and loop connector piece away from the hooking elements (12), a connector (36) for a molded foam is provided. The connector (36) is embodied as a number of projecting separate rods (38) performing the adhesion of the foam without additional projections.

  • Publication number: 20090077776
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of, and an arrangement for, producing a fixing means, for example in the form of a touch-and-close fastener part, comprising: the formation of a carrier structure (10) which is provided with stem-like fixing elements (12) which are connected to one another at least in pairs, via an intermediate element (14), to form a cramp-like, in particular U-shaped, fixing part (16), wherein the stem-like fixing elements (12) engage through the carrier structure (10) and project beyond the same, and the intermediate element (14), which extends between those fixing elements (12), is arranged on the carrier structure (10), and wherein the respective fixing part (16) is introduced as a whole into the carrier structure (10), which, for this purpose, is designed in the form of a cramp-like, in particular U-shaped, moulding prior to introduction.

  • Patent number: 7472465
Abstract: A device for mounting any type of seat covers (10) on foam cushion parts (12) of a seat, more particularly a vehicle seat, uses gripping elements (14) which form actuation groups (16, 18, 20, 22, 24) receiving the profiled strips (26, 28, 30, 32, 34) arranged on the seat cover (10). The gripping elements pull the profiled strips (16, 18, 20, 22, 24) into channel-like recesses (44, 46, 48, 50, 52) in the foam cushion part (12) by a positioning device (42). The positioning device allows a relative movement between the foam cushion part (12) and the corresponding gripping element (14) to fix the seat cover (10) to the foam cushion part (12).

  • Patent number: 7429415
Abstract: An adhesive closing part includes a support band (10) provided with hooking elements (12) disposed thereupon. A cover band (18) covers the support band (10) on the side facing away from the hooking elements (12), and is wider than the support band (10). Lateral edge zones (20) of the cover band (18) extend beyond the associated longitudinal edges of the support band (10) on both sides. At least one additional cover band is provided whose free lateral edge zones also extend beyond the associated longitudinal edges of the support band (10) such that another sealing system is created in addition to a first sealing system, resulting in an overall improvement of the sealing effect.

  • Patent number: 7351464
Abstract: A planar adhesive closure piece for an adhesive closure, has detachable closure elements (18) that may be brought into engagement. A base material (14) has warp threads (10) and weft threads (12) and at least one functional thread (16), which partly engages with the base material (14) and which forms the detachable closure elements (18). A planar adhesive closure piece may be produced more economically. Either the warp threads (12) and/or the weft threads (10) are embodied to run with a wave or curve like form. The closure nevertheless has higher adhesive values than closure elements produced with conventional weaving techniques have for closure elements.

  • Patent number: 7198743
Abstract: A process for produces an adhesive closing element including a plurality of hook elements connected to a backing (10) forming a single piece with the hook elements and being disposed symmetrically thereon. The hook elements are provided in the form of a stem component (17) having a head piece (16). A deformable material is introduced into a forming zone in between a production master (3) and a forming tool (5). The opposite-lying defining walls, at least when seen in a longitudinal section of the respective forming cavity (12), are provided with a continuous convex trajectory. A continuous transition between the cross-sectional forms of the stem component (17) and the head piece (16) is provided for a hooking of the backing (10) resulting in seamless removal.
