  • Patent number: 6669884
Abstract: A method for producing an adhesive closing element having a plurality of hook elements formed as a single piece with a support. The hook elements are rod-shaped and have enlargements at their ends. A thermoplastic synthetic material is fed into the gap between two moveable tools in a plastic or liquid state. The tools are driven such that a support is formed in the gap and displaced in a direction of conveyance. The hook elements are formed by forming elements acting on the gap. The hook elements are formed on both sides of tile support by the forming elements that are active on both sides of the gap.

  • Patent number: 6627133
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a fixing closure element comprising a plurality of interlocking means which are configured with a support (17) as one piece. According to the inventive method, a thermoplastic material is fed to the slit between a pressure tool (3) and a shaping tool (5). A sieve (11) comprising continuous cavities is used as a shaping element on the shaping tool (5). The interlocking means are formed such that the thermoplastic material is at least partially hardened in the cavities of the sieve (11). A shaping tool which comprises a second shaping element (11), said element interacting with the cavities of the sieve, is used on the side of the sieve (13) facing away from the pressure tool (3). The thermoplastic material is shaped using said second shaping element.

  • Publication number: 20030167667
Abstract: A device for displaying information in identification areas of traffic signs, signposts, billboards, license plates, etc. The identification area is provided with a surface having an artificially producible base structure and other structures or itself forms such a surface having a self-cleaning effect. The base structure has or develops a capillary effect in which the quotient of capillary work and adhesion work is greater than 1. The capillaries have a negative rise, that is, liquid is pressed form the capillaries, providing the self-cleaning effect.

  • Patent number: 6572727
Abstract: A method produces adhesive closing parts having adhesive closing elements made of plastic materials. The elements interact with corresponding adhesive closing elements of a second adhesive closing part to form an adhesive closure. The adhesive closing part having the adhesive closing elements is applied, at least in part, with a coating. The thickness of the coating is chosen such that it ensures subsequent formation of an adhesive closure. Adhesive closures with enhanced application possibilities can thus be produced.

  • Patent number: 6569374
Abstract: A method produces an adhesive closing component having a carrier with a plurality of interlocking means on one of its two sides. An adhesive is applied to the opposite side. A silicone-containing separation layer is at least partially applied on the side of the carrier provided with the interlocking means. The interlocking means are formed from stems provided with enlargements on the ends. The silicone-containing separation layer is applied in the cavities of the enlargements in a reinforcing manner. The enlargements form individual interlocking heads. The stems are essentially kept free from the silicone-containing separation layer. An adhesive closing component with adhesive means is improved such that the component can be produced cost-effectively and efficiently. Handling is simplified, and pulling-off characteristics are improved.

  • Patent number: 6537643
Abstract: In an adhering closure element with a carrier strip (10) with meshing parts (12) arranged on it, and with a cover strip (20) covering the carrier strip (10) on the side turned away from the meshing parts (12), which is wider than the carrier strip (10), the two free side edge areas (21) of the cover strip (20) are folded over themselves, in the direction of the carrier strip (10) along a fold line (29), which runs in the longitudinal direction, so that the end edges (31) of the free side edge areas (21) of the cover strip (20) face the longitudinal edges (33) of the carrier strip (10).

  • Patent number: 6478382
Abstract: A fastening system is for a vehicle seat having at least one padded part of a foamed material surrounded by at least one upholstery part. The upholstery part is connected with at least one profiled strip having hooking elements on its periphery. A longitudinal channel is present in the padded part, corresponds in shape to the profiled strip, and has recesses along its longitudinal alignment. The recesses engage the hooking elements. This fastening system can be manufactured at low cost, is comfortable for the passenger and produces no disturbing noises.

  • Patent number: 6299954
Abstract: An adhesive body, for the production of a junction with a foam material molded body during the molding process involving foam materials, has individual adhesive elements arranged on a support strip and covered to avoid the penetration of foam material with a covering. The covering is an adhesive material, adhering to the front side of the adhesive elements and can be removed therefrom to expose the adhesive elements. The adhesive body can be used at lower cost, can be in tight junction with the foam material molded body, and can guarantee with greater certainty that no foam material gets onto the adhesive elements during the foaming.

  • Patent number: 6287665
Abstract: A method and a device manufactures a fastening element with interlocking elements integrated with a backing. The interlocking elements are produced by introducing a thermoplastic into the gap between a pressure roller and a shaping roller. The shaping roller has a screen with cylindrical openings produced by etching, electroplating or a laser so that the finished interlocking elements result exclusively from hardening the thermoplastic, at least in part, in the openings, in the screen. This method allows preparation of the shaping roller at very low cost. In addition, a previously customary second method step in formation of the interlocking elements is eliminated.
