  • Publication number: 20230420539
Abstract: A self-aligned lithography process for the fabrication of an electronic device having predefined areas of a second semiconductor material having a second conductivity type deposited into trenches formed in a first semiconductor material layer having a first conductivity type. A single lithography mask is used for etching trenches in the first semiconductor material, enabling cleaning of the trenches, and providing defined areas for the deposition of the second semiconductor material into the first semiconductor material. The presence of the areas of the second semiconductor material within the first semiconductor material creates a heterojunction beneath a metal for the formation of a first type of contact to the first semiconductor material and a second type of contact to the second type of material. By using a single mask for the etching, cleaning, and filling steps, misalignment issues plaguing devices having small (1-2 ?m) feature sizes is eliminated.

Abstract: A fluid transportation apparatus includes a first suction pipe having a first intake opening and a second suction pipe having a second intake opening. The first and second suction pipes are attached to a vessel on opposite sides to move in rolling motion. The first intake opening is disposed in a fluid reservoir at a position lower than the second intake opening and a valve device moves toward a maximally opened position for a first proximal end of the first suction pipe and to move toward a maximally closed position for a second proximal end of the second suction pipe, as the first and second suction pipes move with the vessel in a first rolling direction of the rolling motion. The intake openings reverse roles and the proximal ends reverse roles, as the vessel moves in a second rolling direction of the rolling motion opposite from the first rolling direction.

  • Patent number: 11841338
Abstract: Optical and electronic detection of chemicals, and particularly strong electron-donors, by 2H to 1T phase-based transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) films, detection apparatus incorporating the TMD films, methods for forming the detection apparatus, and detection systems and methods based on the TMD films are provided. The detection apparatus includes a 2H phase TMD film that transitions to the 1T phase under exposure to strong electron donors. After exposure, the phase state can be determined to assess whether all or a portion of the TMD has undergone a transition from the 2H phase to the 1T phase. Following detection, TMD films in the 1T phase can be converted back to the 2H phase, resulting in a reusable chemical sensor that is selective for strong electron donors.

  • Publication number: 20230390389
Abstract: A nucleic acid vaccine composition comprising one or more of a plasmid-based nucleic acid vaccine and immunotherapy, as well as a lipid formulation, is provided. In addition, the present invention provides a method of enhancing the potency of plasmid-based DNA vaccines and immunotherapies, by formulating a vaccine and/or immunotherapy in a lipid formulation, which is stable when refrigerated or stored frozen, is then delivered to a vaccinee by either needle/syringe, jet injection, or microneedles. The lipid formulation of the present invention comprises one or more lipid excipients selected from 1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine, Cholest-5-en-3?-ol, 1,2-Dimyristoyl-rac-glycero-3-methylpolyoxyethlene, and or more symmetric ionizable cationic lipids. The present invention increases vaccine potency dramatically.
