Patents Assigned to Goyen Controls Co. PTY Limited
  • Patent number: 8434733
Abstract: A valve for use in the control of pressurized air from a pressure tank, the pressure tank including a wall in which an outlet port is formed, the wall having an inner surface and an outer surface. The valve comprises a valve body of generally cylindrical configuration having an inner end which in use is located inside the pressure tank and an outer end which in use is located outside of the tank. A flow passage extends through the valve body, the flow passage having an inlet at or adjacent the inner end of the body and an outlet at or adjacent the outer end of the body. A valve seat surrounds the flow passage and a valve closure member is moveable towards and away from the valve seat to close and open the valve respectively. An operating means is provided for moving the valve closure member in order to operate the valve.

  • Patent number: 6820855
Abstract: An air flow control valve including a valve body having an internal cavity and an inlet and outlet in flow communication with the internal cavity, the axes of the inlet and outlet being aligned at substantially 90° to each other, a valve seat located within the cavity and co-axially aligned with the outlet, the valve seat being located on the distal end of an upstanding tubular pedestal which is formed around the outlet, the internal cavity being configured so as to define an annular space around the pedestal with which the inlet is in flow communication; a flexible generally planar diaphragm mounted above the valve seat, the diaphragm supporting a valve closure member which is adapted to engage the valve seat to close the valve, valve control means for causing the diaphragm to move towards and away from the valve seat to close and open the valve respectiely; and the valve being characterised in that, with the valve oriented with the inlet axis horizontal and the outlet facing downwards, the valve seat is

  • Patent number: 5562251
Abstract: A reverse pulse cleaning system for use in a bag house filter including a blow tube (2) having outlet holes (3) to direct high velocity air pulses into filter bags to be cleaned. The systems includes a nozzle (1) having a control formation between the inlet and outlet ends of the nozzle. The control formation determines air flow characteristics such as velocity and direction of flow emerging from the outlet holes (3) and can improve uniformity and effectiveness of filter bag cleaning. A clampable and releasable fixing of the nozzle (1) to the blow tube allows replacement of the control formation with one of different characteristics during manufacturing or insitu fine tuning. The fixing allows the precise alignment of nozzles (1) on assembly which reduces the need for costly precision in forming the blow tube outlet holes (3).

  • Patent number: 5555909
Abstract: A sealing and joining arrangement (49) suitable for use in conjunction with a valve (28) used for delivering a blast of compressed air from a reservoir (20) to a blow-tube (34) of a dust-collector baghouse (39). The arrangement comprises (i) a socket-to-tube interconnection including one seal (48) to adapt the socket to the tube; and (ii) a second compliant seal (42) to adapt either the socket or tube (as required) to a clearance hole (44) of a bulkhead wall (36) of the baghouse. The socket-to-tube part of the arrangement may be applied to either outlet (preferably), inlet or both. The arrangement (49) may facilitate assembly of many valves in a baghouse typical within the dust collector field.

  • Patent number: 5520366
Abstract: A pilot-operated diaphragm valve adapted to deliver a compressed air pulse from its outlet includes a valve top and valve trigger sub-assembly that cooperate to cycle a flexible diaphragm of the valve toward and away from a diaphragm seat by application of an electric solenoid or external pneumatic pulse applied to the valve trigger. The valve top and trigger sub-assembly enclose a reciprocable hollow plunger that normally is held against a seat at its lower end by a reciprocable solid plunger supported for sliding movement above the hollow plunger in a sealed tube and biased by a spring into engagement with the hollow plunger. Activation of the solenoid or external pneumatic signal pulse drives the solid plunger out of engagement with the hollow plunger which in turn unseats producing low pressure above the diaphragm. The low pressure unseats the diaphragm allowing a high energy pulse of air to escape past the diaphragm through the outlet.
