    Abstract: A texture sprayer comprises an air compressor, a motor, a spray gun, an airflow switch, and a pressure switch. The air compressor is disposed to send the pressurized gas down a pneumatic line, and is driven by the motor. The spray gun receives pressurized gas from the pneumatic line, and expels the gas when actuated. The airflow and pressure switches are both disposed on the pneumatic line. The airflow switch is situated between the spray gun and the air reservoir, and powers the motor when gas flows through the airflow switch. The pressure switch powers the motor whenever pressure within the pneumatic line falls below a threshold value.

The piston pump assembly includes a pump housing, a cartridge having a first end that extends into a second end of the pump housing, a piston that extends into a first end of the pump housing and the first end of the cartridge, and a packing stack within the cartridge and adjacent an inner surface of the cartridge and through which the piston extends. The cartridge is configured to be removed from the pump housing, and removal of the cartridge removes the packing stack from within the pump housing while leaving the pump housing connected to the motor housing.

Electrical energy produced by the energy harvesting device powers the wireless transmitter, which is configured to transmit a wireless signal. The wireless signal indicates that the fluid injector fired. The wireless signal is received by the controller unit, which controls the fluid pump.

    Abstract: An autofill shutoff valve includes a valve body mounted to a lubricant reservoir and secured to a fill tube extending into the reservoir. The autofill shutoff valve has a valve stem extending through the valve body and into the lubricant reservoir. The valve stem is actuated by a plate disposed within the reservoir from a first position, wherein lubricant flows from a lubricant inlet to a lubricant outlet through the valve body, to a second position, wherein the valve stem blocks the flow of lubricant through the valve body. The autofill shutoff valve provides lubricant directly to the reservoir, thereby eliminating external plumbing and the autofill shutoff valve also prevents overfill of the reservoir by cutting off the flow when the reservoir is full.

The vent valve is configured to allow air to pass from a lower portion of a lubricant reservoir as lubricant fills the lower portion. The vent valve also allows air to pass to the lower portion of the lubricant reservoir as lubricant is dispensed from the reservoir. The vent valve closes when the lubricant level reaches the vent valve, thereby preventing lubricant from flowing through the vent valve. The sealed vent valve allows the actuator to rise in response to a rising lubricant level.

The spray roller system can spray and back roll a coating on a down stroke and roll on each up stroke. When the roller handle is removed from the extension tube, it can be used to hand roll sensitive wall areas. With the roller handle removed, extension tube, spray head, and in-line valve can be used as a spray extension to apply coatings in hard to reach areas.

Safe electrical power is power that is both current limited and voltage limited so as to provide insufficient energy to ignite flammable gas or dust of a hazardous location. Safe electrical power is provided by first limiting voltage of operating power provided by a power source. Then the voltage-limited operating power is current limited by a current-limiting device. The current and voltage limited operating power is then converted to a step-down power via a current-limiting network. The step-down power is then voltage limited by a second voltage-limiting device. In some embodiments, the current-limiting network is a current mode step-down regulator.

    Abstract: A centerfill assembly for a lubricant reservoir includes a hollow tube for receiving lubricant from the top of the reservoir and loading the lubricant into the reservoir near the bottom of the reservoir. Loading the lubricant near the bottom of the reservoir introduces lubricant near where the stirring paddles mix the lubricant and near where the lubricant is loaded to the lubricant pump. Adding the lubricant near where the pumps load and near the stirring paddles helps to eliminate air pockets in the lubricant. In addition, having the centerfill rod minimizes exterior plumbing and allows for the mounting of valves on the fill line.

A trigger of the spray gun is configured to actuate a slider of the valve cartridge to control spraying by the spray gun. The trigger includes arms that are mounted to the spray gun by a pivot mechanism. The pivot mechanism can be disengaged from the arms to allow the trigger to slide between a spray position, where the trigger prevents forward axial movement of the valve cartridge, and a repair position, where the valve cartridge can move axially forward. The trigger also includes upper and lower portions that are movable relative to each other, such that the length of the trigger can be adjusted.
