Abstract: A unitary wheel and tire assembly for a wheelchair having an axle that includes a wheel portion and a tire portion. The wheel portion is molded from a first material and has a hub for rotative mounting to the axle of the wheelchair, a plurality of spokes extending at their innermost ends radially outwardly from the hub, and a circumferential rim connecting the plurality of spokes at their outermost ends. The circumferential rim has a radially outwardly opening annular channel extending completely therearound with a plurality of spaced-apart tabs extending radially outwardly therefrom with throughbores therethrough.

Abstract: A collapsible walker that includes a front frame, a pair of side frames, and a pair of levers. The front frame has a pair of skewed surfaces. The pair of side frames are hingedly attached to the front frame and are parallel thereto when the collapsible walker is in the closed position and are perpendicular thereto when the collapsible walker is in the open position. The pair of side frames have notches therein with skewed surfaces, with the pair of skewed surfaces of the front frame being vertically movable in the notches. The skewed surfaces of the pair of side frames move relative to the pair of skewed surfaces of the front frame as the collapsible walker is achieving the open position, until such time as it achieves the open position in which the pair of skewed surfaces of the front frame and drop down in the notches and mate with, and abut against, the skewed surfaces therein so as to prevent relative rotation therebetween and further rotation of the pair of side frames in both directions.

Abstract: A removable and disposable chestpiece for a stethoscope. The chestpiece comprises a unitary disk-like chamber have opposed walls connected by a peripheral wall. One of the opposed walls is provided with a central opening. The head of the stethoscope is provided with an extending skirt which fits into the hole of the chestpiece.

Abstract: A chesthead having a pair of acoustic chambers, each of which is provided with a diametrically arranged wall separating the acoustic chamber into two portions. The two portions in each chamber are connected selectively to a pair of sound tubes so that dual sounds from each chamber are fed to the user simultaneously.

Abstract: A liner for a breast pump which results in increased milk pumped from the female breast having a bell-shaped, flexible body which flares outwardly at one end to a size sufficient to fit over the female breast and narrows at the opposite end to an opening of a size sufficient to permit the flow of milk and which is provided with a circular extension to be connected to the pumping head. The body is provided on its outer surface with recesses providing a membranous wall portion thinner than the body.

Abstract: An identification band for identifying patients of hospitals and similar institutions is disclosed. The identification band includes a longitudinally elongated base layer formed of a tear-resistant, water-proof, ink-receptive material. The base layer includes an eyelet section, an information section and a tongue section. A slot is formed in the eyelet section. In a first embodiment, the width of the tongue section is less than that of the slot to enable the tongue section to be passed through the slot. An adhesive layer is formed on one surface of the tongue section over a sufficient layer of the tongue section such that when the tongue section is passed through the slot can be folded back on itself and two portions of the adhesive layer located on opposite sides of the slot can be placed in contact with each other.
