Abstract: There is provided a fence post having a web and locating elements for engagement with an end portion of a barrier panel. The web has opposite inner and outer surfaces, and is profiled to facilitate alignment of the fence post with another said post when those posts are arranged back to back with the outer surfaces of the webs in abutting relation. The web incorporates at least one longitudinal groove that in use provides a channel between the abutting webs of fence posts for drainage of water from between the posts. There is also provided an intermediate fence post assembly having two of the posts arranged back to back with their respective webs in abutting relation, as well as a fence incorporating a plurality of the fence posts and/or fence post assemblies.

Abstract: There is provided a gate (10) and a method for assembling the gate (10). The gate (10) comprises a pair of opposite side frame members (20, 22) wherein each said side frame member has a respective aperture (32), the apertures being disposed opposite to one another. The gate also includes a pair of opposite end frame members (24, 26) and infill means typically in the form of an infill panel (12) for restricting egress through the gate (10). The pair of end frame members (24, 26) span from one of the side frame members (20, 22) to the other of the side frame members (20, 22), and opposite ends of one of the end frame members are received in the apertures (32) of the side frame members. The end frame members and the side frame members form a peripheral frame about the infill means (12), and at least one of the apertures (32) in the side frame members is dimensioned for permitting relative movement of the end frame members (24, 26) toward each other to fixedly hold the infill means in position within the frame.
