  • Patent number: 9694727
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for damping an upper suspension part in at least one spatial direction with respect to a lower suspension part movable relative thereto, wherein a spring apparatus which acts between the upper suspension part and the lower suspension part is provided for damping, wherein an actuating element is provided by way of which a force can be introduced into the device bidirectionally in the operating direction of the spring apparatus, wherein the actuating element is actuable via a control apparatus, wherein the actuating element comprises a drive, preferably in the form of a rotary field magnet, and a coupling rod, drivable by the drive and in the form of a shaft, in such a way that a distance between the lower suspension part and upper suspension part can be varied as a result of the coupling rod rotating.

  • Patent number: 9126519
Abstract: The invention relates to a vehicle seat for open or semi-open motorized recreational vehicles, such as riding mowers, golf carts, buggies or the like, in which a seat part and a backrest are formed together in one piece, wherein the seat part and the backrest have a common base structure and at least one net-like fabric stretched over the latter and the net-like fabric is formed as a possible contact face for a person who is sitting on the seat, wherein the net-like fabric is weatherproof and is designed in such a way that it is more extensible in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle seat than in a width-wise direction of the vehicle seat.

  • Publication number: 20090174242
Abstract: The invention relates to a vehicle seat having a backrest and a seat surface device that forms a seat surface and that is provided with a pad cover, in particular an outer pad cover, wherein the seat depth of the seat surface is adjustable. A seat depth adjustment device facilitates seat depth adjustment, the seat depth adjustment device including a first deflection device for deflecting the seat pad cover in the end region of the seat surface remote from the backrest, a flexible part that is coupled to the pad cover, and at least one second deflection device for deflecting the flexible part, the second deflection device being arranged at a distance from the first deflection device.

  • Patent number: 7168765
Abstract: A seat for a person has a seat part adapted to be fixed in a vehicle and having an upper seating surface on which the person sits, and a seat back extending upward from a rear edge of the seating surface and having a front surface adapted to be leaned against by the person in the seat, facing forward in a vehicle travel direction, and extending upward to an upper region that is upholstered and on a level to engage the head of the person in the seat. The upper region of the seat back is formed with a hollow having a forwardly directed rear surface and a pair of flanking side surfaces extending forward in the direction from outer edges of the rear surface. The side surfaces are horizontally spaced transverse to the direction so as to spacedly flank the head of the person in the seat.

  • Patent number: 7111901
Abstract: A headrest for a motor vehicle seat is crash active in that it has a mechanism for automatically bringing the head-engaging member toward the head of the passenger in the case of a crash. This mechanism includes a slide guided on a pair of cylindrical members surrounded by springs and having a tooth-forming part of a return travel lock preventing return of the slide to its starting position. In that position a releasable coupling device has a primary coupling element engaged with a secondary coupling element which may be a hairpin-shaped bent wire.

  • Patent number: 7108318
Abstract: A vehicular arm has a fixed axle, an arm-rest body pivotable on the axle about its axis between a raised position and a lowered position, an abutment axially fixed on the axle and rotationally coupled to the arm-rest body, and a pusher rotationally fixed and axially shiftable on the axle. The abutment lies between the pusher and the arm-rest body. Coupling projections on the pusher and on the abutment extend toward each other and have mutually engaging faces lying in planes extending at an acute angle to the axis. A spring presses the pusher axially toward the abutment, such that, when the arm-rest body is pressed toward the lowered position with a force exceeding a predetermined limit, the faces cam the pusher axially away from the abutment and permit limited rotation of the abutment and arm-rest body on the axle.

  • Patent number: 7108328
Abstract: A vehicular arm rest has a fixed axle carrying primary and secondary parts formed with meshing arrays of sawteeth angled to inhibit movement of the arm-rest body in a downward direction between a raised position and the lowered position but permit movement of the arm-rest body in the upward direction between the lowered position to the raised position. A spring braced between an abutment and the secondary part urging the secondary-part teeth into mesh with the primary-part teeth. Cam formations push the secondary part away from the primary part on pivoting of the primary part in the downward direction from the raised position of the arm-rest body toward the lowered position for decoupling the primary-part teeth from the secondary-part teeth and couple the primary-part teeth with the secondary-part teeth and prevent further movement in the downward direction on reaching the lowered position.
