Abstract: An expanded metal produced by repeated penetration of a movable cutting die including teeth into a metal sheet that is run through an expansion device in a feed direction, the expanded metal including a plurality of loops, wherein the loops include bars that envelop loop openings and that are connected in nodes, wherein each of the loops includes a loop opening length measured in the feed direction along a line from a node center to node another center of two nodes that are arranged behind one another in the feed direction, wherein each of the loops includes a loop opening width that is measured transversal to the feed direction along a line from a node center to a node center of two nodes that are arranged adjacent to each other transversal to the feed direction.

Abstract: A method for producing an expanded metal, the method including producing a sheet of the expanded sheet metal by introducing openings through one expansion blade wherein all the openings are configured as diamond shaped loops without a material loss and defined by a loop width, a loop length and a loop shape; and forming the diamond shaped loops respectively by four linear bars that are defined by a bar width and a bar thickness wherein two of the four linear bars are respectively connected at four nodes; arranging plural of the diamond shaped loops in columns adjacent to one another and in rows adjacent to one another; and forming first columns of first diamond shaped loops different from second columns of diamond shaped second loops in a loop width or in a loop length respectively measured from a node center to a node center.

Abstract: An air vent for a vehicle interior, the air vent including a master lamella and plural slave lamellas that are respectively pivotable about an axis, wherein the plural slave lamellas follow an opening movement of the master lamella and are arrangeable at different angles relative to the master lamella in order to generate a diffuse air flow; an open portion which is defined by a plurality of lamellas including the master lamella and the plural slave lamellas with a respective flow out gap arranged between each of the lamellas so that air moves through the respective flow out gap into the vehicle interior; and at least one actuation element that is configured to control an orientation of the lamellas, wherein any one of the lamellas is selectable as the master lamella wherein an opening movement of the plural slave lamellas follows an opening movement of the master lamella.

Abstract: The invention relates to an air vent including a housing; plural louvers extending horizontally or vertically, pivotably arranged in the housing and aligned relative to an air outlet opening arranged in the housing, wherein the plural louvers are controllable jointly with an identical orientation by a pivot movement from a starting position into a pivot position by an adjustment device for changing an air outflow direction from the air outlet opening, wherein the plural louvers are controllable by at least one actuation element made from a shape memory alloy to adjust a diffuse air flow independently from a control by the adjustment device.
