Abstract: This invention utilizes an active diaphragm driven directly by the interaction of a constant magnetic field and a time-varying magnetic field produced by current through electrically conducting elements. A magnet assembly, including a plurality of permanent magnets arranged with like poles adjacent to each other, establishes the magnetic field with respect to the conductive elements to provide highly efficient operation.
