Abstract: System for monitoring the orientation of medical devices (1), which contains a medical device (1), a measuring device (4), a calibrating device (5) and an external device that communicates with the measuring device (4), which external device contains a communication module, a control unit, a program, a power source and display, characterised by that the measuring device (4) is connected to the medical device (1), which measuring device (4) contains a sensing system, which is preferably a gyroscope and accelerometer, a power source, a communication module and control unit, and the calibrating device (5) has at least one position adapted for calibrating the medical device (1).
