  • Patent number: 10971863
Abstract: A high speed connector assembly and an electrical connector thereof are provided. The electrical connector includes an insulating housing and a plurality of signal terminals fixed in the insulating housing. The insulating housing is in an elongated shape defining a longitudinal direction, and defines an insertion direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The signal terminals are arranged in two rows each parallel to the longitudinal direction, and the signal terminals in one of the two rows respectively face that in the other row. Each of the signal terminals includes a signal fixing segment engaged with the insulating housing, a signal contacting segment, and a signal soldering segment. The signal contacting segment has a main transmission point and a secondary transmission point, which are spaced apart from each other along the insertion direction. The main transmission point is closer to the signal fixing segment than the secondary transmission point.

  • Patent number: 10535947
Abstract: A floating connector includes an insulating housing and conductive terminals. Each conductive terminal has a first portion and a second portion extending from the first portion. Each first portion is inserted into the insulating housing and includes a contacting segment that is at least partially exposed from the insulating housing. Each second portion does not contact with the insulating housing and includes a soldering segment. In each of the conductive terminals, a signal transmission path is defined between the contacting segment and the soldering segment, a frequency adjusting path is defined between the soldering segment and a position of the second portion that is connected to the first portion, and a length of the frequency adjusting path is 40%-60% of a length of the signal transmission path, so that each of the conductive terminals can transmit a high-frequency signal satisfying the SAS 3.0 standard.

  • Patent number: 9577370
Abstract: A high-speed electrical connector includes an insulating case, several signal terminals, several grounding terminals, an electrical bridge, and several resilient conductive buffers mounted in the insulating case. Each of the signal and grounding terminals has a fixing segment and a swing segment swingable with respect to the fixing segment. The electrical bridge corresponds to two of the grounding terminals. The conductive buffers are disposed on the electrical bridge and are respectively arranged in the swing paths of the swing segments. Each conductive buffer is configured to transform from an initial state to a deformation state by pressing. Each swing segment can swing to press the corresponding conductive buffer, causing the corresponding conductive buffer to be in the deformation state, thereby establishing an electrical connection path between the electrical bridge and the corresponding grounding terminals. In one example, the buffer can be formed of elastomer mixed with conductive particles.
