  • Patent number: 5989160
Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved belt guiding device for treadmill including a rubber roller jacket on both rollers and the rubber rollers jackets are of proper thickness and the length is slightly less than the length of the rollers. So two ends of the rollers are exposed and is equal in length, also, the length of belt strip is narrower than the lengths of rollers and wider than the length of roller jacket. Therefore, after the belt strip is installed and tightly wrapped on the two rollers, the two roller jackets will generate the bent parts of equal length on the belt strip and these bent parts are able to accurately and effectively guide the belt strip along the rollers during the rotation of the belt strip.

  • Patent number: 5984838
Abstract: A treadmill with a preferred frame relates to a running track frame being anchored at the two sides of the mainframe that primarily used for accommodating and stabilizing a running board. And the front and the back of the running board is coordinated with front and rear rollers, and combined with a running track to provide the user to stand on top of the running track to perform the jogging motion. At this time, the running track will start to rotate repeatedly around the perimeter of the front and rear rollers due to abrasion. The characteristic is the particular runner frame has at least one opening slot, or equipped with an open slot on one of the surfaces, while the total length of that open slots shall exceed one-half of the distance between the front and rear rollers as an optimal choice. Therefore, the existence of that opening slot is utilized to provide adequate reduction to the rigidity of the metal structure in that framework, thus reduces the counter-force and vibrations during the operation.

  • Patent number: 5830112
Abstract: This invention pertains to a foldable jogging simulator in which each of the ends of two corresponding C-shape joint-bar pedals set has an action crank which powers a gear plate. Each of these gear plates has a toothed chain which is linked to a small gear. The two small gears on both sides are connected to the same pivoted shaft, providing a coordinated action with the two joint-bar pedals set. Furthermore, since a retarding wheel is installed in the middle of the pivoted shaft, a retarding force of motion is created; and as the other end of the joint-bar pedals set is installed with a coaxial sliding wheel, which adjusts is position (up and down) due to the rotation of a threaded column, the accidental disconnection of two pedals set is prevented. Finally, the base of the slanted support bar at the front portion is pivotally connected to a horizontal bar in the front of the machine, and this allows the machine to be folded, reducing its size and facilitate storage or transportation.

  • Patent number: 5569130
Abstract: An improved rowing machine includes two main frames, a rear horizontal tube, two rowing bars, a link, a support bar and an action column. A user may ride on a slidable seat of the action column with both feet placed against two pedals at both sides of a front end portion thereof, with both hands pulling the rowing bars. The link drives the support bar to elevate the action column to move on its pivot, so actual rowing may be imitated to achieve exercising effects. As the pivot of the action column is located near the user's side, the slanting angle of the action column when elevated may be reduced to ensure safety. When pressed against by the user's feet, the pedals will provide an auxiliary lifting force according to the lever principle, this facilitating the user's application of force at the rowing bars.
