  • Patent number: 11866894
Abstract: A post foundation system is provided. The system has a shaft with a helical disk attached to one end and a post support attached to the other end. The helical disk drives the shaft into the ground as a rotational force is applied to the shaft. A fin section is rotatably coupled about the shaft between its first and second ends. The fin section can have one or more fins extending outwardly from the shaft. The fin section engages the ground to stabilize the post foundation system as the shaft of the post foundation system is driven into the ground.

  • Patent number: 8887451
Abstract: An apparatus for lifting and supporting a foundation is provided. The apparatus includes a pivoting bracket that is rotatably coupled to a slab bracket plate having a sleeve. The sleeve is adapted to slide onto a support structure driven into strata within a hole formed in a foundation in an area needing support. The pivoting bracket is pivoted into an insertion position in which one arm of the bracket is up and one arm is down. This enables the bracket to clear the sides of the hole in the foundation. The bracket is then pivoted to a support position and drawn upwardly with guide rods and a seating plate until seating portions of the bracket engage an underside surface of the foundation. The apparatus is then raised to lift the foundation. The sleeve of the apparatus is then affixed to the support structure to support the foundation.

  • Publication number: 20140030029
Abstract: A piling structure is provided. The piling structure includes a first piling section and a second piling section. At least one of the first and second piling sections has a tapered portion. An end of one of the first and second piling structures fits inside an end of the other of the first and second piling sections to form an overlap region where the first and second piling sections are coupled. In operation, the first piling section may be driven partially into strata. The second piling section may be coupled to the first piling section, and the combined piling structure may be driven further into the strata. The piling structure may be used to support a raised foundation structure.

  • Publication number: 20140026496
Abstract: A foundation support driving apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a drive head which may be coupled to a hydraulic ram assembly for driving a foundation support. The drive head has sleeve plates that form a sleeve through which the foundation support may travel. The sleeve plates also form a pair of opposed yokes. The drive had has a pair of opposed rotating plates that rotate about respective pins positioned in opposed yokes. Gripping portions disposed at the inward ends of the rotating plates are adapted to engage the exterior surface of a foundation support extending through the sleeve. The hydraulic ram assembly rotates the rotating plates back and forth to move the gripping portions into and out of engagement with the foundation support in order to move the foundation support.

  • Patent number: 4695203
Abstract: An improved method and apparatus for supporting and shoring building foundations and walls in which one or more pilings are disposed at a point outside the perimeter of a structure. The pilings are driven into the supporting strata to a point determined by said strata's resistance to a predetermined amount of driving force. The pilings thus disposed provide a foundation for the subsequent attachment and securing of the apparatus of the present invention which functions to raise and support the foundation or wall to a predetermined level. The apparatus of the present invention includes a lifting arm for engaging the foundation, a sleeve portion for guiding the pilings, a removably secured lifting saddle, and a hydraulically operated jack for applying a force between the saddle and the pilings to raise the foundation a predetermined distance.
