Patents Assigned to Gregory Tool Systems, Inc.
  • Patent number: 4520648
Abstract: A mechanical riveter comprising a slideway with rivet-gripping jaw assembly slidable in said slideway to be pulled by a rod. A pivot and guide pin at the other end of the slideway pivotally carries a pair of squeezable handles and a pair of links, each pivoted between a handle and the end of the rod, so that when the handles are squeezed, the links pull the rod down and away from the nosepiece, guided through a bore through the pivot guide pin.

  • Patent number: 4498293
Abstract: A force-delivering tool such as a log splitter wherein a pusher member carried on a cylinder is forced against a blade carried on a frame to which the piston is secured. The cylinder is driven relative to the piston by means of a reciprocating plunger carrying a cup on the end that forces fluid past a one-way valve ahead of the piston. Oil is pressurized by both the bottom of the cup and its annular end but, when resistance is encountered to build up pressure, a relief valve evacuates the annular chamber so that all the force is concentrated in the area at the bottom of the cup. The entire actuating valve may be backed away to relieve pressure as desired or at the completion of a desired stroke.

  • Patent number: 4489471
Abstract: A hydraulic pulling tool comprising a piston slidable within a cylinder and having a co-axial bore therein. Lateral passages open from the bore through the piston to the leading face thereof and a screw piston is pushed in the bore by threading a screw pusher so that the hydraulic fluid in the bore is forced out into the cylinder to retract the piston. For a blind riveter, a pair of jaws is driven by a pusher piston also carried at the leading end of the bore so that the build up of pressure causes the jaws to grip a blind rivet firmly.
