  • Patent number: 10487538
Abstract: A door arrangement includes a door leaf movable relative to a frame. A locking device in a locked state locks the door leaf to the frame by at least one locking element and in an unlocked state releases the door leaf relative to the frame. An actuating element selects the state of the locking device. To transmit a movement of the actuating element, the locking device has a connecting bar which is arranged displaceably on the door leaf, wherein a motor-operated drive unit for driving the connecting bar is provided. A sensor device for the contactless detection of a movement of the connecting bar is provided and the motor-operated drive unit can be activated in accordance with a movement of the connecting bar detected by the sensor device.

  • Patent number: 5878605
Abstract: A lock for a door has a housing with an opening, a latch bolt and a further latch bolt both mounted to the housing for parallel displacement relative to the housing. A latch follower formed as part of a latch is connected to the latch bolt as is a changer, with the parallel displacement occurring due to the action of one of the latch follower via the latch and the changer via a key. A lock cylinder is situated in the housing opening. Two drive rods and associated control plates are provided along and a changer lever hinged to one of the control plates and connected to the lock cylinder. The lock cylinder can drive the changer via the changer lever and its hinged control plate. One side of the lock has, therefore, two drive rods.

  • Patent number: 4967512
Abstract: An arrangement for controlling the closing sequence of two wings of windows, doors, and the like, especially smoke or fire protection doors, which are closable by means of a door-closing device each. The two wings are a moving wing to be opened first and a resting wing to be opened subsequently, so that projecting edges of the doors which face each other come into contact with each other in the correct sequence. A control device is actuated primarily by the slide rollers of the door-closing device of the resting wing when the resting wing is opened. With the use of a control lever and a sliding member displaced by the control lever toward the axis of rotation of the resting lever, a locking member is pivoted into the return end region of the guide roller of the door-closing device of the moving wing. This locking member locks the final closing movement of the moving wing until the resting wing has been closed.

  • Patent number: 4557321
Abstract: A room ventilator structured to define therethrough both a primary airstream and a secondary airstream arranged in heat exchange relationship with each other. A heat exchanger located to have both said primary and secondary airstreams flow therethrough is structured to divide both of said streams into numerous smaller partial airstreams with walls made of high thermal conductivity intermediate the partial airstreams to enhance the heat exchange capacity between the streams. The heat exchanger is designed so that it may be installed in the ventilator in a plurality of reversed positions without impairing its function.

  • Patent number: 4551945
Abstract: A sash is mounted in a first position in a fixed frame and is movable laterally into a second position where it is parallel to the first position. A plurality of swing arms connect the sash to a movable carriage so that in the second position the sash can be moved along a linear path between a closed position and open position relative to the first position of the sash in the fixed frame. At least one of the swing arms has a control arm pivotally attached to it. The control arm has a locking member engageable within and movable along a slot in the carriage. The locking member can be secured within a section of the slot angularly offset from the main section of the slot when the sash is in the second position. With the locking member secured in the angularly offset section, the sash is retained in the second position. A lug secured to the fixed frame is located in the path of the carriage as the sash moves along the linear path toward the closed position.

  • Patent number: 4453345
Abstract: A mounting is disclosed for the movable member of a window or door in a fixed frame which comprises four set-off arms connected to corners of the movable member. Each set-off arm is pivoted and slidably mounted to the movable member at one end thereof and pivotally mounted to the frame in an opposite end thereof. An auxiliary arm is pivotally mounted to the set-off arm at an intermediate location thereon and also to the movable member. The set-off arms take up opposite mirror image inclined positions with the movable member in its closed and opened position respectively. The upper set-off arms are mirror images of the lower set-off arms about a plane perpendicular to the plane of the movable member with the pivotal and sliding engagement between upper and lower set-off arms being closer to each other than the pivotal engagement between those set-off arms and their associated auxiliary arms.

  • Patent number: 4428279
Abstract: To avoid or at least substantially reduce heat losses occurring with conventional registers ventilation, a register is disclosed which is assembled of two basic bodies supporting each a shutter and connected to each other through a thermally insulating layer. Preferably, the thermally insulating layer comprises insulating sectional strips and it is satisfactory to provide such strips only along the upper and lower longitudinal edges of the two basic bodies. • Patent number: 4050364
Abstract: A ventilating device for mounting on a wall or support frame which has an air flow passage therethrough comprises a housing of generally rectangular or block shaped form. The housing has a back wall which is mounted on brackets secured to the mounting wall and which includes an air inlet aligned with the air passage defined through the mounting wall. An insulation layer is secured to the top and bottom walls of the housing and to the cover. When the cover is closed the cover layer insulation fits between the top and bottom layers and the three layers define a tortuous or meandering flow path for the air from the inlet to the outlet which is defined at the front end of the housing opposite to the rear wall. The outlet is closed by the cover which has an adjustable register and the apparatus advantageously includes a fan arranged to draw air in through the inlet and circulate it through the tortuous path between the insulations to the outlet for flow out through the register.
