Patents Assigned to Gridspan Energy LLC
  • Patent number: 10909641
Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for providing and transporting mobile energy storage units (MESU). Multiple MESUs may be provided and each may include one or more energy modules, which may be at least partially charged at a first location and at least partially discharged at one or more secondary locations, which may be separated from the first location by at least one body of water. One or more computer hardware processors may simulate scenarios for transporting multiple MESU to the secondary location(s), and each of the scenarios may include different values for variables associated with one or more characteristics of the MESU(s). Each of these scenarios may be associated with a cost for energy transport. Based on the cost determined for each of the energy transport scenarios, one of the simulated energy transport scenarios may be selected and scheduled using a transport scheduling system.
