Patents Assigned to Grohe AG
  • Patent number: 10823634
Abstract: A method for detecting a leak in a fluid line, having at least the following steps: closing the fluid line with a valve to create a pressure chamber in the fluid line; determining a first pressure drop in the pressure chamber; opening the valve after completing the determination of the first pressure drop; closing the fluid line with the valve to create the pressure chamber in the fluid line again; determining a second pressure drop in the pressure chamber; and comparing the first pressure drop with the second pressure drop. Also, a water meter is provided with a valve, a flow sensor, and a pressure sensor, which are connected in a data-carrying manner to a controller, wherein the controller is set up to carry out the method according to the invention.

  • Patent number: 10745897
Abstract: A flush-mounted built-in body for a sanitary fitting, having at least one valve for a liquid having a rotatable flow regulator and a threaded shaft, wherein the threaded shaft can be actuated for opening and closing the at least one valve in an axial direction of the at least one valve, having at least one push button for actuating the threaded shaft of the at least one valve in the axial direction, wherein the at least one push button comprises an intermediate part, screwable with the threaded shaft, for setting the at least one push button in the desired position in the axial direction and a cover cap that can be connected nonrotatably to the threaded shaft for securing the intermediate part in the desired position, and having at least one rotating knob for adjusting a flow rate of the liquid.

  • Publication number: 20200258058
Abstract: A method and apparatus for detecting users of a sanitary installation, with which at least one sanitary sensor system is associable. At least one use profile is detected for at least one user of the sanitary installation via the at least one sanitary sensor system in a first timeframe. The specified use profile is associated with at least one specified user in a database. The use profile of the sanitary installation is monitored by the at least one sanitary sensor system in a second timeframe. A specific use profile of at least one specified user is identified from the use profile of the sanitary installation, an individual use of at least one specified user is ascertained from the use profile of the sanitary installation, and/or an ascertained individual use of at least one specified user is stored in the database.

  • Publication number: 20200217744
Abstract: A method for detecting a leak, having at least the following steps: a) capturing a flow volume of a liquid through a liquid line during a multiplicity of liquid removal processes; b) comparing the flow volumes of the liquid in the respective liquid removal processes with an alarm value; c) outputting an alarm signal if the flow volume of the liquid in a liquid removal process exceeds the alarm value; d) adapting the alarm value on the basis of a frequency of the occurrence of the flow volumes of the liquid in the liquid removal processes above an adaptation value.

  • Publication number: 20200149937
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device, containing a first sensor, designed and arranged for sensing a first measurement variable of a fluid, and a second sensor, designed and arranged for sensing a second measurement variable of the fluid, a first electrode assembly has a substrate and a first planar electrode overlying the substrate. A second electrode assembly has a second planar electrode. The first planar electrode and the second planar electrode are dielectrically spaced apart from each other. The first electrode assembly and the second electrode assembly form a first capacitor as the first sensor such that a first capacitance, formed by the first planar electrode and the second planar electrode, can be varied under the influence of a fluid and in accordance with a flow velocity of the fluid as the first measurement variable.
