Abstract: A wrapping mechanism protection device which is adapted and configured to prevent a dispensed wrapping film to interface with crop debris of hay, straw, corn straw, etc. extending from a formed bale when the bale is being ready to be wrapped is disclosed. More particularly, the present disclosure describes a film-carrying device which comprises a film-carrying main frame, a spool holder rotatably mounted on the film-carrying main frame for mounting a spool of the wrapping film thereon, and a wrapping mechanism protection device extending from the film-carrying main frame and being configured to prevent the bale received in the frame to interface with the wrapping film when the bale is being wrapped.

Abstract: A bale wrapping apparatus configurable between a single bale wrapping configuration and an inline bale wrapping configuration. The bale wrapping apparatus comprises a bale wrapping support assembly including support rollers spaced apart from one another to drive a bale in rotation along a rotation axis, when the bale wrapping apparatus is configured in the single bale wrapping configuration; and a longitudinal bale support configurable between an extended configuration where it extends above the support rollers and a retracted configuration where it extends away from the support rollers. The longitudinal bale support is positioned in the retracted configuration when the bale wrapping apparatus is configured in the single bale wrapping configuration and is configured in the extended configuration when the bale wrapping apparatus is configured in the inline bale wrapping configuration.

Abstract: An apparatus is for collecting and transporting bales. The apparatus includes a transport assembly and a grasping assembly operatively connected thereto. The transport assembly includes a bale loading platform extending above and mounted to a chassis. The bale loading platform comprises at least one bale conveying section in including a bale conveying mechanism. The grasping assembly includes a mechanical arm having a prehension end effector engageable with the bales. The grasping assembly is configurable between a bale engagement configuration for engaging a corresponding one of the bales laying on the ground, a bale capture configuration for capturing and lifting the corresponding one of the bales off the ground and a bale release configuration for releasing the corresponding one of the bales onto the bale loading platform and comprises a movement absorption mechanism operative to substantially cancel the forward displacement of the apparatus during the capture of the bales.

The base section includes a base section central shaft having a hollow core and a base section helical member. The extension section is positionable over the base section and includes an extension section central shaft having a hollow core and an extension section helical member. The extension fixation assembly includes a base support wall positioned at the top end of the base section central shaft and an extension abutment wall positioned at the bottom end of the extension section central shaft. The base support wall is superposable to the extension abutment wall and securable thereagainst. The extension fixation assembly further includes a fastening assembly configured to removably secure the extension section to the base section, when the base support wall and the extension abutment wall are superposed to one another.

The bale unloading device comprises a telescopic bale unloading member that is found on the unwrapped bale loading end of the bale wrapping machine or on a bale storage trailer attached thereto. When in use, the bale unloading device goes from a retracted state to an extended state, pushing the last bale through a bale wrapping device and towards a wrapped bale support structure located on the wrapped bale unloading end of the bale wrapping machine. The bale unloading member is powered by hydraulic valves/actuators and therefore does not necessitate any manual intervention to unload the last bale from the bale wrapping machine.

Abstract: A wrapping machine includes a fixed inner hoop having a non-circular shape. The wrapping machine also includes a rotatable outer hoop rotatably connected to the outer surface of the inner hoop and having a shape that matches that of the inner hoop, thereby allowing the outer hoop to maintain a proximal relationship with the outer surface of the inner hoop during rotation. The wrapping machine further includes at least one cantilevered support mounted on the outer hoop, the cantilevered support having at least one spool holder for rotatably mounting a spool of wrapping material thereon, and a driving mechanism operatively connected to the outer hoop for rotating the outer hoop. The non-circular shape of the wrapping machine is advantageous in that it is better adapted to wrap square or rectangular loads.
