    Abstract: A system and method provide information concerning a monitored location and live views of the location to a user at a location remote from the monitored location. The information may be information such as the layout of the monitored location. A network such as the Internet may be used to allow remote users live access to views from cameras set up in the monitored location. Users may control the cameras at the monitored location, and alarms at the monitored location may alert users when certain events occur at the monitored location.
