Abstract: A ballistic protection structure has a first ballistic layer made of a textile of synthetic fibers and a second ballistic layer comprising a first holding element on which slender metallic structures in the form of flat sheets and/or straight filiform elements are restrained. The metallic structures are restrained at different points of the first holding element and protrude therefrom generally perpendicularly.
