Patents Assigned to Gryphon Environmental, LLC
  • Patent number: 9341410
Abstract: An apparatus for removing liquid from a suspension comprises: one or more drying chambers; a conveyor system for transporting the suspension through the drying chambers at a substantially continuous speed, including a semi-permeable conveyor belt; a blower for injecting air into the drying chambers; a vacuum pipe and one or more vacuum pipe segments that extend from the vacuum pipe into each of the drying chambers for drawing saturated air out of each of the drying chambers, and wherein the vacuum pipe is operably connected to an intake of the blower. The apparatus may further comprise a condenser receiving the saturated air from the vacuum pipe, cooling the saturated air, and collecting liquid from the saturated air before returning it to the blower. The apparatus may further comprise a preheating arrangement in which cooled air exiting the condenser is passed through the drying chambers before returning it to the blower.

  • Patent number: 8673156
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for removing liquid from a suspension. More particularly, the present invention relates to a filtration apparatus using vacuum pressure, compressed air and radiant heat to facilitate extraction of water from a suspension and an air flow within the vacuum chamber to remove the evaporate as a cost-efficient and resource-efficient means of filtering and drying solids in large volumes of suspension to remove interstitial and chemically bound liquids, resulting in up to 100% total solids.

  • Patent number: 7749395
Abstract: An apparatus removes liquid from a liquid and solids mixture. The apparatus may include a bowl-shaped, rigid container having an upper portion, a lower portion, and a sidewall forming a chamber for receiving the liquid and solids mixture. The container includes a plurality of conduits extending radially outwardly along an inner portion of the sidewall. A filter separates the conduits from the liquid solids mixture in the chamber. Means is also provided for reducing pressure in the chamber, which causes at least liquid to be drawn from the mixture through the filter and conduits. Related systems and methods may be follow from use of the apparatus.
