  • Publication number: 20150341492
Abstract: Techniques for selectively prohibiting or allowing a debt collection call are disclosed. In an example, a method processing a debt collection call may include receiving a collections compliance request with at least a To number and a From number, identifying a client based on the From number, determining if the To number is included in a client no-contact list, determining if a call frequency count value is appropriate, such that the call frequency count value is based on the To number, determining if a curfew value is being exceeded based on a current time and the To number, allowing the debt collection call to proceed if the To number is not included in the client no-contact list, the call frequency count value is appropriate, and the curfew value is not being exceeded, and prohibiting the debt collection call if the To number is included in the client no-contact list, the call frequency count value is not appropriate, or the curfew value is being exceeded.

  • Patent number: 8964956
Abstract: A method and system for integrating compliance and contact management between an origin and destination. An integrated control system can receive or initiate a request for a first communication contact type (e.g. phone call) between an origin and destination, the request including a first destination identifier (e.g. phone number). Depending on applicable mediation rules and lists of prohibited and exempted destination identifiers for the first communication contact type, the connection is either prohibited or allowed. If the first communication contact type is prohibited, a request for an alternate communication type (e-mail, mail, or facsimile) is sent to the same destination based on alternate destination identifiers. The integrated control system will either prohibit or allow the requested alternate communication contact based on one or more applicable mediation rules and lists of prohibited and exempted destination identifiers for each alternate communication contact type.

  • Patent number: 8732190
Abstract: Compliance with a privacy database and call-specific applications is provided within a network. A service control function (SCF), in communication with a privacy database, selectively establishes a call between an origin and a destination. Based on origin or destination identifiers, call parameters are determined for further operations associated with the call. A server, responsive to the call parameters, performs monitoring of the call or post-call disposition to update the privacy database.

  • Publication number: 20140025813
Abstract: A method and system for exchanging information with a Relationship Management system that includes a connection unit to bridge first and second communications connections and capture information associated with the first and second communications connections. An interface unit is then used to receive communications connection information from the connection unit and deliver select portions of the communications connection information in a select format to the Relationship Management system.

  • Patent number: 8050394
Abstract: A method of implementing call compliance at a central facility through account specific access, the method involving: receiving a call from a caller on an incoming connection; obtaining and verifying account information; enabling the caller on the incoming connection to initiate an outgoing call on an outgoing connection depending on account information; receiving over the incoming connection an identifier of a destination to which a call is to be initiated over the outgoing connection; checking a do-not-call database for an indication of whether the destination is a do-not-call destination; if it is determined that the destination is a do-not-call destination, blocking the outgoing call from taking place over the outgoing connection; and if it is determined that the destination is not a do-not-call destination, allowing the outgoing call to take place over the outgoing connection.
