Abstract: A second digital content renderer receives a communication indicating properties of a first content viewing area of a first digital content renderer and first state data of an object rendered in the first area, the data including a configuration of the object. The second renderer renders a second content viewing area having a portion that contains an interactive representation of the first area, the interactive representation including an indication of the object, and is rendered based on the received properties of the first area and first state data. The second renderer receives a user interaction within the interactive representation that changes the configuration of the object and generates second state data based on the change. The second renderer sends a communication to the first renderer indicating the second state data that causes the first renderer to modify the object rendered in the first area to conform with the change.

Providing an address for the computing resource, wherein the computing resource includes the data to render the first user interface. Providing data for a second user interface, wherein the first and second users interfaces are different and the first and second user interfaces are configured to communicate with each other within a communication session and across a network and further wherein the second user interface includes functionality to provide digital content within the first user interface. Change the digital content provided within the first user interface, wherein the digital content remains available within the computing resource via the address after the communication session between the first and second user interfaces has ceased.

A method for synchronising content between two or more digital content Tenderers (40) comprises: Receiving over a first communication channel a first communication indicating a change in content rendered on a first digital content renderer. Transmitting over the first communication channel to a second digital content renderer, a second communication indicating the change in content rendered on the first digital content renderer. Receiving over a second communication channel a request from the second digital content renderer for the changed content. Transmitting over the second communication channel to the second digital content renderer data enabling the changed content to be rendered on the second digital content renderer.
