Abstract: A first node (110) and a method therein for managing modes of operation of a service, referred to as “service modes” are disclosed. The service is executed in the first node (110). The service is capable of communicating with a second node (120) over a wireless network (100). The first node (110) receives an estimated level of a connectivity for the service from the wireless network (100). The estimated level of the connectivity relates to likelihood of maintaining the connectivity to the second node (120). The first node (110) selects one of the service modes based on the estimated level of the connectivity. Moreover, corresponding computer programs and computer program products are disclosed.

Abstract: A method for resource allocation and an apparatus in a communication device are provided. The method includes that: a sidelink logical channel with high priority is selected from sidelink logical channels belonging to a target address, where the priority of the logical channel is associated with a ProSe Per Packet Priority (PPPP) and the logical channel with high priority is associated with high PPPP; resources are allocated for data in the sidelink logical channel with the high priority; and data transmission is performed between UEs based on the allocated resources.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for discontinuous reception are provided. The method includes: a terminal transmits uplink data to a network device at transmitting time; and the terminal switches between a Discontinuous Reception (DRX) dormant period and a DRX active period within a time period after the transmitting time. The terminal transmits uplink data and the terminal is triggered to carry out discontinuous reception within the time period after the transmitting time of transmitting the uplink data.

The method includes: transmitting, by a terminal device, a first signal using multiple beams, where the first signal is configured for a network device to determine a target beam among the multiple beams; receiving, by the terminal device, a notification message transmitted by the network device, where the notification message is configured to notify the terminal device of the target beam determined by the network device; and transmitting, by the terminal device, a second signal using the target beam.
