Patent number: 4196624Abstract: A probe assembly is provided which includes a housing, at least one sensing element extending through a passageway in a wall of the housing and a sealing packing element mounted in the passageway for effecting a pressure-tight seal between the sensing element and passageway. The housing has a generally pipe-shaped neck portion, one end of which has disposed thereacross the housing wall through which the passageway extends, and the sensing element is at least partially disposed in the neck portion in a direction generally parallel to the longitudinal axis of the neck portion. The neck portion is filled with a heat-resistant, porous filler material, which prevents damage to the sealing packing element.Type: GrantFiled: March 9, 1978Date of Patent: April 8, 1980Assignee: Gustav F. Gerdts KGInventors: Helmut Willenbrock, Friedrich Schittek

Patent number: 4196384Abstract: An improved probe assembly for monitoring liquids is provided which includes an electrode housing having an internal receiving chamber, sealing packing means disposed in the chamber and a generally cylindrical electrode enclosed within a flexible, tube-like insulation sheath, which electrode and sheath extend through the receiving chamber and the sealing packing means. The electrode has at least one circumferentially-extending, radially-offset surface disposed opposite the sealing packing means defining an edge against which the sheath is compressed by the packing means so as to effect sealing engagement between the electrode and the sheath.Type: GrantFiled: March 6, 1978Date of Patent: April 1, 1980Assignee: Gustav F. Patent number: 4043425Abstract: In an oil spraying device for the delivery of oil admixed with compressed air, a connection means is provided to connect the ends of a spring which contacts the control flap to vary the torque imparted to the control flap. For this purpose, the spring ends are loosely coupled with the control flap and the housing so that the length of the spring arms effecting control may be varied to vary its lever action. The spring is also mounted outside the pivot axis of the control flap.Type: GrantFiled: February 25, 1976Date of Patent: August 23, 1977Assignee: Gustav F. Gerdts KGInventor: Gerhard Schutzer
