Abstract: Supported catalysts for oxidizing carbon monoxide at temperatures below about 50.degree. C. are described which comprise an open-celled, foamed, organic polymer support and a catalytically active component applied to the support, wherein the catalytically active mixture is a mixture of gold and iron oxide, cobalt oxide or nickel oxide or a mixture of these mixtures.
