Patent number: 9915070Abstract: A roof gutter for the purpose of keeping small debris out of the gutter and allowing rainwater to pass into the gutter. The covering is comprised of a water permeable, weather resistant mesh having apertures of a pre-determined size for passing water, the mesh sized to substantially cover a rain gutter; corrugations formed in the mesh, providing a planar stiffness to the mesh causing the mesh to be self-supporting over a gutter; a debris collection first trough disposed along a longitudinal axis of the mesh, formed by making at least two bends in the mesh, the first trough located between a longitudinal midline of the mesh and a front gutter end of the mesh, wherein the gutter debris preclusion device, when attached directly or indirectly to a gutter does not require a separate support mechanism to keep the mesh substantially planar over the gutter.Type: GrantFiled: April 11, 2016Date of Patent: March 13, 2018Assignee: GUTTERGLOVE, INC.Inventor: Robert C. Patent number: 9869094Abstract: Corrugated fine mesh material is configured to be located overlying a gutter. The fine mesh material has an upper edge opposite a lower edge with the upper edge configured to fit beneath shingles on a roof adjacent the gutter. The lower edge is configured to be held to a lip at a forward edge of the gutter. The corrugations add strength to the material and collect water at troughs thereof where the collected water more readily forms droplets that fall down into the gutter. A lower strip is preferably provided to hold the lower edge of the mesh to a lip of the gutter. An upper strip is optionally provided which includes a tab which can fit beneath shingles to the roof. A barrier such as a bead of caulk can optionally be coupled to an underside of the corrugated mesh to further encourage water droplets to fall.Type: GrantFiled: April 11, 2016Date of Patent: January 16, 2018Assignee: GUTTERGLOVE, INC.Inventor: Robert C. Patent number: 9863150Abstract: An extendable, debris and leaf precluding gutter cover with a gutter lip end and an opposing roof-side end, has a fixed, non-adjustable width, wherein the roof-side end is shaped with a mating feature to a corresponding end. A weather resistant, debris and leaf precluding, low-profile gutter cover extension is matched to the gutter cover, having a roof end and the corresponding end with a complementary shape to the gutter cover's shaped end's mating feature. This permits joining the ends to maintain a debris and leaf precluding barrier between the gutter cover and extension. When the gutter cover and extension are mated, they form an extendable gutter cover that entirely covers and is self-supporting over the roof's gutter top and a junction of the gutter cover and extension is low-profile, to permit debris flow across a top of the junction.Type: GrantFiled: January 19, 2017Date of Patent: January 9, 2018Assignee: GUTTERGLOVE, INC.Inventor: Robert C. Publication number: 20160369512Abstract: The present invention includes a cover for use with a heat element and gutter debris preclusion devices. The cover includes a body, a front member, and a middle portion disposed between the body and the front member. The body includes a lip being operably configured to extend beyond an outer edge of the gutter when the cover is in use. The cover also includes a channel defined by the middle portion and at least the front member, wherein the channel is operably configured to receive the heat element. The cover is operably configured to hold the heat element to the gutter debris preclusion device. When the heat element is energized it will generate heat. The cover will enable the generated heat to transfer to the gutter debris preclusion device and to a gutter to which it is attached.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 22, 2016Publication date: December 22, 2016Applicant: GutterGlove, Inc.Inventor: Robert C. Patent number: 8479454Abstract: Multiple assemblies are provided to overlie a gutter to preclude debris entry. Each assembly includes a mesh positioned upon an underlying substantially rigid support. The support has a tab which can reside beneath shingles and over other portions of the roof. A front edge is provided opposite the tab which rests upon a lip of the gutter when installed. A floor is located between the front edge and tab at a position slightly below a plane in which the tab and front edge are located. The mesh overlies the floor. Holes in the floor allow water which passes down through the mesh to be conducted through the floor and to fall down into the gutter. Ribs extend up from the floor to support the mesh and draw water off of the mesh. The mesh is corrugated into a plurality of crests and troughs which extend perpendicular to the ribs.Type: GrantFiled: September 23, 2010Date of Patent: July 9, 2013Assignee: Gutterglove, Inc.Inventors: Robert C. Patent number: 8438787Abstract: The invention includes a substantially rigid body providing underlying support for a filter screen. The invention further includes at least one heating wire disposed adjacent to the body, which is formed of heat conductive material. The body is configured with multiple ribs extending up from a floor so that heat transfer from the body to the screen can occur in a variety of different locations to keep the screen sufficiently heated. The body also includes a wing for interfacing with roofing and openings to allow water filtering through the screen to migrate down into the gutter. A cover overlies a channel, which contains one or more of the heating wires. The system includes a flange attached to the body and extends into the gutter enhancing the heat transfer from the body to within the gutter to keep the water flowing in gutter.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2011Date of Patent: May 14, 2013Assignee: Gutterglove, Inc.Inventors: Robert C.
