Abstract: A system and method for conducting an auction for a sponsor includes setting a composite score for each bid submitted to the auction. The setting of the composite score includes selecting at least one of a plurality of categories as evaluation criteria for each bid, setting parameters for each of the selected categories, and specifying a weighting for each of the selected categories. Bids are received from one or more participants, each bid including information corresponding to the selected categories. A score is determined for each received bid based on the parameters and weighting for each category and the information in the bid, and the participant having the highest score is notified.

Abstract: An interface (1) interfaces between front-end systems and back-end systems (10, 11, 12) in a manner whereby their communication formats may be different and they may change. There is an engine (2), a node layer of nodes (3, 4) and a utility layer of utilities (5, 6, 7). An engine (2) has an engine object which instantiates processor, script loader, parser, and script builder objects. An XML script contains a process map for associating incoming messages from the front-end systems with nodes (3, 4). The association is determined by the parser object. The engine has no specific business logic, this logic being represented by the nodes. The nodes expose their business logic capabilities to the engine (2), allowing it to dynamically maintain its process map. Messages are routed to the relevant nodes, which communicate with the relevant back-end systems via the utilities (5, 6, 7). Messages are passed between the nodes and the engine objects using a hashtable associating keys with values.

Abstract: A computer implemented method, apparatus and software for automatically transforming data between a self-describing markup language format and an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) format. For generating EDI documents, a standard data model with EDI related data is received. Data definitions for the self-describing markup language are generated. The generated data definitions are used to generate self-describing markup language data. An EDI document is automatically created based on the self-describing markup language data.

Abstract: A function in an application integrator system for business-to-business e-commerce automatically creates trading partner profiles during translation stages. The function is activated by an exception event auto-create flag for an interworking standard being set to auto-create. Also, each standard has interchange, functional group, and message templates. These templates are used to extract data from the inbound document and automatically populate a profile record for the sending trading partner.

Abstract: A computer implemented method, apparatus, and software for automatically generating and rendering a custom view including at least two viewlets from two different applications. A defined activity sequence is received from a user in which the activity sequence includes at least two viewlets from two applications, respectively. The received activity sequence is associated with the user. The activity sequence and the associated user are stored as a user context. A custom view is rendered to the user based on the stored user context.
