Abstract: Disclosed is a gymnastics beam including a rigid profile, a layer of a flexible material arranged on an upper surface of the profile, and a coating covering the layer of flexible material. The beam included a lower part including a lower part of the profile that bears against an upper part including an upper part of the profile, and a connector to secure or separate the lower part and the upper part. This permits rapid renovation of the beam by changing only the upper part. Moreover, characteristics of the beam such as the width and the hardness of its bearing surface can be adapted by changing the upper part or, where relevant, segments of the upper part, such that the beam can be modulated. Also disclosed is an assembly including multiple upper parts.

Abstract: Disclosed is an element for gripping an item of sports equipment, including a core made of composite material having a fibrous framework included in a polymer matrix. The gripping element has an external layer enveloping the core and having an interwoven textile material, separate from the framework, that is partially embedded in the matrix and emerges from the matrix onto an outer surface of the gripping element. Also disclosed is a handrail of a gymnastics apparatus and to an item of sports equipment having such a gripping element, as well as a method for manufacturing such a gripping element.

Abstract: Disclosed is a gymnastics apparatus renovation kit including a cover adapted to fit tightly on a gymnastics apparatus to be renovated. The cover has an elongated shape extending in a longitudinal direction, the elongated shape corresponding to the shape of a gymnastics apparatus. The cover includes an upper face, two longitudinal lateral faces, two end faces, and an open lower face. The renovation kit also includes two rods, each rod being passed in a hem formed at the bottom of each lateral face of the cover and extending throughout the length of the cover. The renovation kit further includes links for joining the rods together in a transversal direction, tending to bring the rods closer together. Also disclosed is a corresponding renovation process and to a renovated gymnastics apparatus.
