Abstract: A cooling air opening arrangement is for a motor vehicle front end. The cooling air opening arrangement has a peripheral edge surrounding a cooling air opening, and a plurality of slats. The slats are arranged substantially in parallel to one another and extend in the cooling air opening within the peripheral edge. The slats are arranged in a pivotably mounted manner in such a way that, in a first pivoting position, the slats are arranged such that the cooling air opening is substantially open for air flow and, in a second pivoted position, the slats are arranged to close the cooling air opening. The cooling air opening arrangement further has a peripheral sealing frame against which the slats bear in a sealing manner. The peripheral sealing frame being provided on the peripheral edge. Adjacent ones of the slats bear against one another in a sealing manner.

Abstract: A method for producing a fibrous composite material component, in particular for a vehicle. According to the method, at least one dry woven fabric layer is initially provided, wherein the woven fabric layer includes carbon fibers. A binder is then applied to the woven fabric layer. Further, the woven fabric layer is reshaped into a preform layer, wherein the binder is activated during the reshaping and the woven fabric is stabilized in the reshaped shape. The preform layer is then applied to further woven fabric layers in order to strengthen the shape. The connection of the preform layer and the further woven fabric layers thus results in a preform, which is inserted into a molding tool for carrying out an RTM process. Then, the RTM process is carried out in order to obtain a fibrous composite material component.

Abstract: A charging system for electrical aircraft includes multiple charging drones distributed in an airspace. A respective charging drone is configured so as to be operated with a first type of fuel, wherein the respective charging drone carries a supply of a second type of fuel. The respective charging drone includes an energy converter, which is configured so as to provide from the supply of the second type of fuel an electrical power to be transmitted to an electrical aircraft located in the airspace. The charging system is configured so as to identify among the charging drones located in the airspace the one which demonstrates optimal criteria for the electrical aircraft and to prompt this charging drone to proceed to the electrical aircraft, carry out a charging operation, and fly back to its waiting position.

The baseboard apparatus includes a rail device attachable to a wall structure and connectable to a power supply network using longitudinal contact bars. A placement device is attachable to the rail device using socket units and frame units. The socket units are contactable by the contact bars at various longitudinal positions on the rail device. Abstract: A battery device for a motor vehicle powered at least semi-electrically, with a cooling device having a coolant circuit for direct cooling of battery cells and with a battery housing having a housing space for receiving the battery cells. The housing space provides a portion of the coolant circuit, such that a coolant can directly flow around the battery cells. The cooling device includes a terminal device arranged on the battery housing, via which the coolant can be introduced into the battery housing or discharged out of the battery housing. The terminal device provides a degassing opening for the battery housing. In case of a overpressure in the housing space, the degassing opening opens via at least one breaking device.

The method includes reading the digital watermark from the accessory and providing content associated with the digital watermark on the mobile telecommunication device. Each of the battery modules extends in a transverse direction of the vehicle between a left and a right vehicle longitudinal support, as well as a central battery control device connected to the battery modules. Each of the battery modules includes on its two opposing front faces a connection region with an electrical connector configured for electrical contacting. The traction battery includes, in the region of each of the two front faces of the battery modules, at least one respective busbar, which extends transversely to the connection regions and parallel to one of the vehicle longitudinal members and is configured so as to electrically connect at least some of the battery modules to one another and/or to the central battery control device.

The degassing device includes at least one degassing channel, which is fluidly connected to the internal space of the electrical energy reservoir and to the external environment. The at least one degassing channel is formed by channel walls defining the path of the degassing channel. The channel walls are configured such the degassing channel has a meandering path formed due to a plurality of channel deflections.

Abstract: A motor vehicle has a rear seat bench, a storage compartment arranged behind the rear seat bench in the direction of travel, and a storage compartment floor. A hat shelf is positionable behind the rear seat bench in a usage position such that it separates a passenger compartment from the storage compartment. In order to thereby provide an easily actuatable hat shelf which is also sturdy when in its non-usage position in the motor vehicle, a gap is provided between the rear seat bench and the storage compartment floor. The hat shelf and the gap interact such that the hat shelf can be inserted into the gap in a non-usage position and can be fixed to the rear seat bench via a fixation device such that, in its non-usage position, the hat shelf adjoins a rear side of the rear seat bench.

Abstract: A brake-by-wire system for a motor vehicle provides haptic feedback to the driver via the brake pedal in the event of an anti-lock braking. The brake system includes a brake pedal configured to receive a braking request from a driver driving the motor vehicle and to forward the request to a braking apparatus. The braking apparatus is configured to translate the braking request into a corresponding brake pressure and to transmit it to brake actuators. The brake pedal is further mechanically and/or hydraulically decoupled from the braking apparatus. The brake system has at least one mechanical actuator in the form of a unbalance motor and/or a magnetic plunger. The at least one mechanical actuator is connected to the brake pedal and is configured to induce the brake pedal to vibrate in the event of an anti-lock braking.

The capillary assembly is configured so as to receive liquid refrigerant from a refrigerant supply arranged at the first end of the battery cell and release gaseous refrigerant into the battery module interior at least at the second end of the battery cell.

Abstract: A steering apparatus for actively controlling an at least semi-autonomously driven motor vehicle. The steering apparatus includes a steering body having an axis of rotation, a steering wheel handle and a steering wheel canister. The steering wheel handle and the steering wheel canister are rotatably connected to one another about an axis of rotation. An airbag module is arranged within the steering wheel canister, wherein the steering body has an active position and a stowed position, and is movable between these positions. In the active position, the steering body is rotatable about the axis of rotation for active control of a relevant motor vehicle. The airbag module is held in the steering wheel canister in a functionally identical orientation irrespective of the position of the steering body. An increase in the seating and movement freedom of the driver during a (fully) autonomous operation can be realized while maintaining safety.

Abstract: A method for arranging a generalized multilevel converter switching topology with switched capacitors for converting DC current into AC current, wherein the arrangement can be configured with regard to predetermined output voltage levels. With the same number of semiconductor switches, a higher number of voltage levels can be achieved in comparison to previous methods. Depending on the given problem, a maximum output voltage of the AC current may vary from significantly lower values than the input voltage of the DC current up to a multiple of these values. The generalized circuit topology may be adapted to a desired number of voltage levels by a repeatable arrangement of voltage level units that can be arranged in a row and to a multiphase load by a corresponding selection of a number of sub-modules. Furthermore, a modular multilevel converter configured with the circuit topology is described.

Abstract: A user interface testing system, method, and device for a vehicle under test (“VUT”). A test system is communicatively coupled to the VUT. A test system records outputs of at least one human-machine-interface (“HMI”) responsive to a first set of test cases and then scores the recorded HMI outputs responsive to the first set of test cases. The test system generates a second set of test cases and scoring criteria for the second set of test cases based on the received first set of test cases and the recorded HMI outputs responsive to the first set of test cases. The test system performs the second set of test cases on the HMI and records HMI outputs responsive to the second set of test cases. The test system assigns scores for the recorded HMI outputs responsive to the second set of test cases using the generated scoring criteria.
