    Abstract: Animal litter which includes a bacterial and fungal growth inhibitor sprayed onto the litter prior to packaging. The inhibitor may consist of a complex halocarbon material in an aqueous solution which when spayed on the litter liberates free halogens to control bacterial and fungal growth. Other bacterial inhibitors may also be used.
